Important Updates for GMCH

NEET UG 2024 will be held on May 5, 2024 for admission to MBBS at GMCH Chandigarh. NEET PG 2024 will be held on March 3, 2024 for admission to MD/ MS at GMCH Chandigarh.


Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), offers a five-year MBBS, B.Sc. (3 specializations), M.Sc (13 specializations) and MD & MS programs in various specializations. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of GMCH on payment of application fee through DD, Credit, Debit Card or Net Banking.

  • Students who have passed HSC (10+2) with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for MBBS and B.Sc. first-year programs.
  • MBBS admissions are conducted on the basis of NEET score.
  • Candidates seeking admission in B.Sc. program should have appeared in GCET.
  • To be eligible to take admission in M.Sc. program, the candidate must have passed the B.Sc. degree in the relevant subjects.
  • NEET PG score is mandatory for MD and MS courses.

GMCH Chandigarh offers admission in 5-year MBBS Program based upon the score obtained in NEET as well as qualifying exams.

GMCH Chandigarh MD, MS & M.Sc Admission 2023

GMCH Chandigarh offers admission in the 2-year M.Sc. program based on the merit obtained in the qualifying examination. The basic eligibility criteria to apply for the M.Sc. course is B.Sc. in the relevant subjects with 50% marks in aggregate. To apply for a 3-year MS and MD courses, the candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in the relevant subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

For MD and MS programs, the candidates have to qualify in NEET PG followed by college level counselling for All India Quota as well as State Level Quota seats.

Note:

  • The applicants of MD/MS course should have compulsorily completed Internship satisfactorily by March 31 of the year.
  • Before applying for MD/MS courses, candidates need to make sure to be registered with MCI/State Medical Council.
  • Admission is offered under All India Quota as well as State Quota seats.

GMCH Chandigarh Application Process 2023

Candidates can apply online for MBBS, B.Sc, MD, MS and M.Sc programs by following the given steps:

  1. Visit the official website of the Institute to fill the online application form.
  2. Candidates must deposit the application fee online or in the form of Demand Draft in favor of “Director Principal, Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32 B Chandigarh” payable at Chandigarh. (INR 500 for General and INR 300 for SC categories along with Bank Charges.)
  3. Fill the application form and take printout of the same.
  4. Submit the form and send it to the college along with the necessary fee and photocopies of the required documents: .

Remarks:

For availing admission in MBBS first you need to clear the medical entrance exam that is NEET that is the All India based exam and for which the minimum cutoff is 50 percentile. The application forms are available on th website of NTA .
