According to my friends, it will be better if you don’t consider NIET as an option, rather go for other alternatives if you have them.
You can get direct admission to Galgotia College through the management quota. For NIET, check the official website, for admission advertisements. When they release the admission notification, visit the campus. You will receive all the required information regarding the direct admission procedure. The process is straightforward. Once the process is complete, you will be accepted as a student of NIET.
GL Bajaj will be a better option. It offers better placements. GL Bajaj placements have been pretty good over the last few years. During the 2021 placement drive, students received the highest CTC of 31.6 LPA. Around 372 companies took part in the campus drive. Go through the amazing campus tour below
Additionally, the institute conducts soft skill training, and various workshops to prepare students for the placement drive.
For NIET there are a total of 2 admission procedures which are as follows.
On-campus:
Visit the campus with your academic transcripts, i.e mark sheets of 1oth, 12th, etc. Let the officials know that you are interested in taking admission for CSE. You may have to take a test to do so. These tests are usually quite easy. Also, just a tip I got from my friends at the institute that good communication skills in English go a long way there.
College Counseling:
Clear a competitive examination, like AIEEE, UPTU with good rank and choose the institute for counseling. You can also select the college based on your Mains score.
Here is the required UPSEE cutoff for CSE in recent years.

Hope this was of some help.
Among these, CSE in Galgotia University is better. The department has an excellent faculty base. The faculties are well-qualified and have years of experience in their respective fields. According to Galgotia University placement highlights, the average CTC offered to CSE students is around INR 4.5 LPA. Many reputed companies such as IBM, Infosys, Wipro, etc. take part in the placement drive.
My friend from school used to be a student of NIET and he has said there are two cases of life in NIET: the hostler and day scholars.
However, looking on the bright side, the faculty is supportive provided you are willing to put in the effort. The institute has a good library and despite the fact that the classes not having ACs, the labs do.
Here are some of the information from an ex-student of NIET and a good friend of mine about the girl’s hostel.
Overall the hostel experience will be average. You can opt for the college hostel in first year to make some friends, and move out later in 2nd year.
Both Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) and Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology (RKGIT) are private engineering colleges located in the Delhi NCR region. I have a few friends at both the institutes and based on the conversation, I had with them, I will say NIET will be better.
The faculty and campus placements at RKGIT are not that great. Compared to RKGIT, NIET has better a better faculty base and placement record.
Here are the recent placement highlights for the two institutes.
Institute | NIET | RKGIT |
Average CTC | 3.8 LPA | 5 LPA |
Highest CTC | 11 LPA | 12.20 LPA |
Top recruiters | HCL, Capgemini, Wipro | Jaro Education, TCS |
Visit the college or talk to the alumni to know more about the institutes.
I have some friends who went to NIET. And based on the conversion I had with them, I will say placement at the institute is quite good.
Numerous companies visit and recruit at NIET. If you're talented, you can get a good placement. NIET provides opportunities for its students to interact with companies and learn about job openings.
Here are the highlights of placement for 2020.
Average CTC | 11 LPA |
Highest CTC | 3.8 LPA |
Total no of students placed | 1,772 |
There are placement preparation classes held on campus. These classes are also quite affordable. Overall, you will have enough good placement opportunities at the institute.
You will choose your own path, and how much you are willing to learn is entirely up to you. It is up to you to improve your skills.
NIET is the only college in the Delhi NCR that has the following characteristics:
Recognized by three government bodies: NAAC Grade 'A,' NBA, and NIRF Ranking.
Best faculty members, infrastructure, lab facilities, and round-the-clock placement activities.
Furthermore, the NIET administration is most concerned with placing each student. For student placement, NIET was the first institute in NCR to have a Microsoft Innovation Centre (to provide students with industry-specific training), Prometric Lab, Mock Preparation, TCS Accreditation, and many other facilities.
Thousands of NIET students are working in various MNCs such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Cisco, Google, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and others, as well as various government organizations in India.
Although you want to work for a large IT firm, if you do not get a job with a large IT firm, do not lose faith in yourself. If you get a job in a small IT company, it's not a bad option for freshers because you'll learn a lot and have more responsibilities.
