As i was from the 2023-2024 batch i gave the CUET entrance test which was a very new type of test for me . My personal experience of the test was good i got alotted the college in my second list though i finalized it and didn't wait for the 3rd list . Read Full ReviewStudying Philosophy at Kamala Nehru College is great for learning, but it doesn't lead to a job right after graduation. It's perfect for those who want to study further or pursue a career they're passionate about. Scope for improvement: - Help students explore career options - Provide internships for practical experience - Connect students with professionals in related fields
"Delhi University's admission process is straightforward, but could improve by providing more transparency on seat allocation criteria and clearer communication on document verification requirements."
Read Full ReviewKamala Nehru College, Delhi University, does not offer campus placements for Philosophy (Hons) students. However, the college provides strong employability support through workshops, internships, and career counseling. Many students pursue higher studies or careers in academia, research, publishing, or civil services. My plan after completing the degree is to pursue a master's in philosophy to deepen my knowledge and improve my career prospects. The college's emphasis on critical thinking and analytical skills equips us well for various professional paths.
The admission process for Philosophy (Hons) through CUET requires a high school diploma. Applications are available online and dates are typically announced in March. Reservation benefits apply as per government norms. The CUET exam is held annually, and while challenging, it is manageable with preparation. Improvements could include a more streamlined application process and quicker result announcements. The cut-off marks vary yearly, reflecting the competition level.
Read Full ReviewCompared to Daulat Ram College and Indraprastha College, Kamala Nehru College is a better option for pursuing an Economics honors degree. It is way better than IP. It is also more reputed than the others. However, you should do your own research on the institutes, by talking to the current students.
Compared to Kamala Nehru, Daulat Ram College is a better choice. It is situated on the North Campus of DU among the reputed colleges like SRCC, Hindu, Miranda, Kirorimal, etc. The campus is great. There’s always some event going on.
Hudson Lane, where the college is situated, is a great place. There are many eateries around the campus.
DRC is located near the metro station Vishwavidyalay. So, you won’t face any transportation problems.
Here is a brief comparison of Daulat Ram College and Kamala Nehru College.
I have friends from both JMC and Daulat Ram. Based on the reviews I got from them, I will say JMC is definitely the better option in terms of college life and academics.
JMC is one of the best girl’s colleges in DU. Both campus life and academics are exciting and fun. You won’t get to have such experiences in other colleges of DU. The faculty base of the institute is great. You will love the experience.

If we look at the experiences and reviews of previous students, Kamala Nehru will be a better option for B.Com among the choices. It will offer you great exposure. Maitreyi College can be your 2nd choice for B.Com if you are a girl. The college has an amazing infrastructure.
The final choice will be based on the cut-off as the course is highly demanding.
