Both College of Vocational Studies and Maitreyi College are reputed colleges under DU. CVS is more known for its vocational studies, whereas Maitreyi is more known for its arts and commerce studies. The faculties at both colleges are quite good. If you are opting for Arts subjects, go to Maitreyi college. Before choosing any of these two institutes, you should talk to the current students and get to know their experience.

According to the reviews online, College of Vocational Studies (CVS) is much better than Maharaja Agrasen College (MAC-DU). Here are some reasons why:

  • CVS is great, popular for its student culture and campus life.
  • The environment and the crowd here is warm and welcoming.
  • MAC on the other hand is known for its best courses BBE and B.Com.
  • MAC also has a proper and well maintained infrastructure.
  • MAC conducts classes 6 days a week whereas CVS conducts 5 days a week.
  • In MAC the student crowd is divided into groups and does not possess unity like CVS.
Categories MAC CVS
Placement Percentage 70% 65-75%
Highest CTC - 5 LPA
Average CTC 4 LPA 3 LPA
Recruiting Companies KPMG, Deloitte, Byju’s, Wipro, etc. TresVista, Walmart, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, etc.

Lastly, the fest organized at CVS is amazing. You will get to see the performances of Musical groups and bands like The Local Train, etc. The CVS fest is so good it is often compared to the fest of IIT Delhi called Rendezvous.

Among Rajdhani College and the College of Vocational Studies (CVS), it is suggested you go for the latter instead of the former. CVS is said to be one of the best colleges under DU.

Here are some facts about it:

  • The location of the college is great.
  • It has metro connectivity, its nearest station Malviya Nagar.
  • The sports ground of the college is huge.
  • The infrastructure is decent. The buildings are well maintained.
  • The faculty is good and cooperative. They have years of educational experience.
  • The student crowd is enthusiastic and competitive, thus making their engagement with studies more fluid.

CVS is definitely a better choice. It offers the best facilities, they also have a proper administration who always caters to the needs of the students.
