- total students are 75 but 5 of the students left the college in 1st sem. So total 70 students are there. I am having specialisation in finance in which we have around 40 students -girls to boys ratio is 1:6 in our course and for whole college it's around 4:6 - cultural diversity of our college is one of the famous topics in DU becoz students are there from so many states like Punjab, UP, MP, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh. - students are very accommodating, peer group studying in our course is very much visible becoz of the practical subjects which need student to student perspective. -no we dont have as such assesment, but at the time of classes, faculty look for better participation.

Placement Experience:

Final placements start around January or Feb, while in our last semester. The process is long and goes on till May. In the recent round more than 600 offers were made from companies. Not everyone gets placed around 40% students sit for placements and 70% of them gets placed. The college doesn't do anything extra to get them placed as max no. Of students go for MBA by giving cat exam Average ctc - 4.8 Lpa Highest ctc - 21.5 LPA Most preferred companies are Deloitte, EY, Bajaj Capital as they give good salary The placement comitee helps by telling them about other jobs. Overall students with better grades are given good offers

Both College of Vocational Studies and Maitreyi College are reputed colleges under DU. CVS is more known for its vocational studies, whereas Maitreyi is more known for its arts and commerce studies. The faculties at both colleges are quite good. If you are opting for Arts subjects, go to Maitreyi college. Before choosing any of these two institutes, you should talk to the current students and get to know their experience.

According to the reviews online, College of Vocational Studies (CVS) is much better than Maharaja Agrasen College (MAC-DU). Here are some reasons why:

  • CVS is great, popular for its student culture and campus life.
  • The environment and the crowd here is warm and welcoming.
  • MAC on the other hand is known for its best courses BBE and B.Com.
  • MAC also has a proper and well maintained infrastructure.
  • MAC conducts classes 6 days a week whereas CVS conducts 5 days a week.
  • In MAC the student crowd is divided into groups and does not possess unity like CVS.
