IIM Ranchi Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Management (PDFM) is of 2 Years. IIM Ranchi invites Young Persons who have earned their PhD and have Publication Records for the PDFM program. PDFM Candidates of IIM Ranchi may be awarded a Fellowship of INR 50,000 per month and Contingency Grant of INR 50,000 per annum.

Applicants must have a Consistently Good Academic Record and Demonstrated Research Potential or Candidates with a PhD Degree or who have Submitted their Thesis for PhD are eligible to apply for PDFM Program.

Ques. Can the duration of PFDM be Extended at IIM Ranchi?

Ans. The Duration of the Fellowship will be for 2 Years. In no case, the Fellowship will be extended beyond 2 Years.

Ques. Can I leave the PDFM Program at IIM Ranchi in between?

Ans. If the PDFM fellow wishes to leave the program before the end of tenure, he/she can do so with prior approval of the FPM committee by giving one month’s notice.

Ques. What Facilities are provided to PDFM Fellows at IIM Ranchi?

Ans. Office space will be provided to PDFM fellows along with a Computer and Printer. They will be issued a Special Research Library Card, enabling them to Borrow up to 10 books from the Library at a time.

Ques. What is the Selection Criteria for PDFM Program at IIM Ranchi?

Ans. The Selection Criteria for PDFM Program at IIM Ranchi is:

Selection will be based on Demonstrated Research Skills and a fit with the Research Interests of resident faculty. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to Campus to present their Research before a Final Decision is made.
Past research PhD thesis work demonstrating the potential for scholarly work would facilitate the initial shortlist process.
The Shortlisted Candidates will be invited for an On-campus Presentation and Interview.

Ques. Will IIM Ranchi take care of my Expenses for the PDFM Program?

Ans. PDFM Candidates will receive a Fellowship of INR 50,000 per month and Contingency Grant of INR 50,000 per annum. IIM Ranchi would also pay expenses for a Fellow to attend one Conference abroad from an Approved list of Conferences if their Joint Paper with a Resident Faculty Member is accepted for Presentation at that Conference.
