I just love to solve mathematics problems so that's why I selected the course. In our department there are 12 faculties and 56 students so it's ratio is 1:4.6 or something near that so it is quite good.the teachers interact quite nicely so if anyone has any doubt they can ask them and they clear the doubts passionately The faculties are highly educated and experienced there are some of IITians also and in general they have a MSc degree and most of them have a PhD Exams are pretty difficult though compared to other universities you get more time to prepare so it is up to you how you prepare for the exam
Anyone who have passed the 12th from a respective board can apply here for their graduation degrees. You need to go to WBSU official website to know the best colleges under the university. Then you need to go and contact the respective college authority and collect the form from the officials next you will be properly guided by them they will help you throughout the whole admission process. There are reservation benefits. You can know the details from the officials of the respective college. Believe me it is a smooth admission process and you won't face any kind of problems of difficulties.
Read Full ReviewAfter completing my BA I thought MA would be more valuable for my career as I want to be a professor. So that's why I have chosen this course. We have a total of 5 faculties in our department and near about 60+ students in our batch. So the student-faculty ratio is around one professor per 12 students. All of our faculties are very good. They are qualified and have been teaching for years. Our HOD is very good & friendly to all the students. She always has a smile on her face. Our faculties always elaborately teach every topic. They organize some seminars too. We had to give one semester every 6 months. Exams are easy to pass if anyone studies regularly. But we have a lot of papers and practical projects to complete. Sometimes it becomes hectic & boring.
After completing graduation you can pursue an MA. If you had Bengali as a pass subject you can still opt for MA. You can come from another background like you may have Hons in History/English/ Sanskrit etc. The main criterion is to complete graduation. But students must apply within 3 years of their graduation. For example, I took admitted in 2021. Students who graduated in 2019,2020 & 2022 will be valid but 2018 passed-out students are invalid. The university fee is around Rs 5000-5500 for every semester. University does not take any admission test. Merit lists are published based on graduation & higher secondary marks. the more marks you got the higher your percentage of chance of getting admission. You have to apply from WBSU official website. As soon as you appear on the list you have to pay the fee. On the very next day, you must visit for offline verification. Otherwise, the application will be canceled. Reservation seats are available too
