Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College, affiliated to West Bengal State University is one of the premier institutes in West Bengal for Humanities, Science and Commerce. BRSNC college offers BA, B.Com, B.Sc. General and Honours courses as part of its UG Programmes while for PG Course; the college has M.Sc. in 4 disciplines and M.Com in 2 different fields of specialization.
Selection of the candidates in these UG programmes is strictly based on the merit of the qualifying examination. Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College offers financial assistance to its economically weaker candidates. The college offers various scholarship and concession programs for its undergraduate and postgraduate students. The state government provides scholarships as per marks scored (more than 75% for undergraduate and 55% for postgraduate candidates) in the previous final examination. Some of the scholarships offered by the college include the following:
- Jayanta Chaudhury Memorial Scholarship: The scholarship is placed under the scholarship offered by West Bengal State University or the University of Calcutta. The scholarship is subject to an annual scholarship scheme of INR 2,000.
