IIM Trichy admissions are conducted as per CAP. The shortlisted students are required to appear for PI. WAT was excluded from CAP due to the COVID-19 outbreak. IIM Trichy Selection Criteria considers CAT and PI as dominant parameters for final selection and assigns a weightage of 50% and 25%, respectively. Other parameters included in PGPM Admission 2023 are Verbal Comprehension (CAT), work experience, performance in the qualifying degree and gender diversity.
IIM Trichy also offers PGPBM (Chennai Campus), DPM and EDPM programs. Selection for PGPBM and EDPM is based on the Written Test and PI. Whereas, DPM Admission is based on entrance exams such as CAT/GMAT/GATE/GRE/UGC-JRF/IIMB Test followed by area-specific Interview and PI with DPM Committee.

IIM Trichy DPM Selection Criteria: Stage 1
The candidates will be shortlisted in stage 1, based on their application i.e, the eligibility criteria and the information provided by the candidates.
IIM Trichy DPM Selection Criteria: Stage 2

For the PGPM course, you need Bachelor in any domain for IIMs. When you will fill CAT form, the option will be there to select IIMs and their courses. If you failed to select there any IIM you will not be able to apply them by any means in the future. The benefits of reservation vary from gender to category and academic background. If you are a female candidate some IIMs offer a gender diversity score, if you are from a non-Btech background then you can get an academic diversity score based on selected courses under the list.

The admissions process starts with CAT in the month of November. The eligibility for the course is a minimum of 50 per cent in the 10th class, 12th class and graduation. The Application form for the exam can be availed from the CAT Website and the application fee is 2000 rupees. The cut-off is different for different categories of students, which is highest for the General students which are 92+ percentile overall and 70+ percentile in each section. I belong to the general category and I haven't availed of any reservation benefits.

Admission into the college like other B-schools starts with clearing the CAT exam with the mentioned cutoff both overall and sectional. Post that a Common Admission Process (CAP) is conducted by one of the new IIMs. For us, the process included the PI only. Suppose you are eligible for the process, the college contacts you via email. You then have to yourself registered on their portal and follow the further procedures. Any student who has at least done the under-graduation is applicable to sit for cat and then for the further process for all colleges.

IIM Trichy is the best option among these. It is especially good for Strategy, Finance, and Marketing specialization. The institute has an excellent placement record. IIM Trichy placement 2022 ended with an average CTC of INR 17.01 LPA, while the highest CTC offered this year was INR 34 LPA. It has a permanent campus and offers an enviable campus experience to students.
If you want to specialize in HR, IIM Ranchi will be a better option.
