Annamalai University offers admission to the various UG, PG, Research programs. The courses are offered under 10 faculties including Arts, Science, Engineering, Medical, Management, Humanities, etc. In addition to this, the university also offered PG Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate courses in various specializations. Apart from the regular full-time courses, more than 500 courses are offered through Annamalai University Distance Education.

Annamalai University admission is based on both merit lists and entrance examinations. Admission to the courses such as B.A, B.Sc, M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, and others are done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examinations. Annamalai University B.Ed, M.Ed Admission 2023

The university offers B.Ed and M.Ed program through the Department of Education, one of the four departments under the Faculty of Education at Annamalai University. Both the programs have duration of two academic years. B.Ed is conducted in two languages – English and Tamil whereas medium of instruction for M.Ed course is only English. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to B.Ed on the basis of marks scored in qualifying UG/ PG degree. In case of M.Ed, seats shall be filled on the basis of qualifying examination merit and through a selection test and an Interview to be conducted by the University.

In case of M.Ed, candidates should attach a demand draft of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of The Registrar, Annamalai University, payable at Chennai. Annamalai University BPEd, MPEd Admission 2023

The university offers B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed programs under the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in the Faculty of Education. The duration of the programs shall be two academic years each, consisting of four semesters under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). 

In case of B.P.Ed, 200 candidates will be selected on the basis of merit who score at least 50% marks in the selection test. Admission shall be made on the basis of ranking for a total of 150 marks distributed as follows: 

  • Qualifying Examination – 20 marks
  • Sports and Games Participation – 25 marks
  • Games and Sports skill test – 50 marks
  • Track and Field Skill test – 50 marks
  • Bonus marks for possession of a basic degree in Physical Education – 5 marks

Annamalai University MBA, MCA Admission 2023

The university offers various postgraduate programs viz, MA, M.Sc, MBA, MCA through different faculties such as Science, Education, Arts and Indian languages. The duration of all the full-time PG courses is two years except MCA which is of three years duration.

The Faculty of Medicine offers MPT and M.Sc. Nursing program in several disciplines whereas Pharm.D course is offered by the Department of Pharmacy under the Faculty of Engg. And Technology. Recognized by the Medical Council of India, the duration of both the medical programs is two academic years each. MPT and M.Sc Nursing programs are conducted by the Rajah Muthiah Medical College and the Rani Meyyammai College of Nursing respectively.

Candidates seeking admission can apply only through the official registration portal of Annamalai University. A duly filled-in downloaded application should be sent along with all the enclosures either by Speed/ Registered Post or in person within the stipulated time.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Log on to the official registration portal of Annamalai University.
  2. Click on the “New Applicant” link for the desired course.
  3. Enter the details of the qualifying exam (10th or 12th or Diploma)- Register Number, Month and year.
  4. Enter the details such as Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Aadhaar Number, Nativity, Community, E-Mail ID, Password and submit the form.
  5. Upon registration, candidates should use the username and password to login through the REGISTERED APPLICANT link.
  6. Next, enter all the personal details and educational details that are self-explanatory and submit.
  7. Then, a candidate should upload a photo of (Width:150 and Height:150). The file should be in.JPEG format (JPG, JPEG, JPE, GIF).

There is no entrance exam for joining this course. You can apply online. The eligibility criteria are the completion of 12 with a minimum of 50 percentage of the mark. And after one-month direct counseling is conducted through the seats allotted for the students.

You can get your degree certificate from Annamalai University by following the below steps.  Fill in the Convocation form which is available on the official website. Attach your provisional certificate and final year marksheet with the form. You need to pay a convocation fee as well. Send it to the Controller of Examination, Annamalai University.  For any help regarding this, you can contact your college as well.

Annamalai University offers a variety of 457 courses across 17 streams. The college offers UG, PG, Diploma courses, and Ph.D. under various departments, such as Department of Engineering & Technology, Arts, Agriculture, Dentistry, Medicine, Fine Arts, Marine Sciences. NIRF ranked the university 92nd overall, in the country last year. The college also offers various courses in distance mode. Fee Structure- Since it is a state Institution, the fee is very low as compared to other top institutes. The fee charged for some of the courses is as follows- B.Sc.- 25,570/year M.Sc.- 36,450/year MBA- 56,450/year Ph.D.- 38,400/year B.Ed.- 42,000/year Campus life- International workshops, State level sports even and Cultural programs are conducted in the college. The college also provides facilities like wi-fi, library, medical facilities, food and accommodation etc. Internships- The college also provides internship opportunities and scholarships to the deserving students. The students are selected on the basis of their merit. Faculty- There are more than 100 lecturers in the university and most of them are Ph.D. scholars and have an expert background. Placements- The students are considered for the participation for the placement drives on the basis of their academic records. As per the latest records, the average salary offered was around 2.5 LPA, the lowest was 2 LPA and the highest was 10 LPA. Tata Consultancy Services, Dell EMC, Vodafone, Deloitte, Pepperfry.com, Cognizant, Indian Navy, Infosys, Tata Motors, Ernst & Young, Mahindra & Mahindra, and HCL are some of the major recruiters in the college.

How can I get transcripts from Annamalai University?

The best possible way to get transcripts is to visit the university and apply for it. A friend of mine strongly suggested not to apply through any middle agents or online transcript agencies. You can send in a representative with a letter of authorization provided by the candidate. The complete process takes a couple of days. Once you have arrived at the university then go to the examination office for further direction. You will need copies of: Marksheets Consolidated Marksheet (if any) Provisional Degree Certificate Degree Certificate Payment Receipt The cost of the transcripts is around Rs.3500 including the courier charges. However, if you wish to inquire at the front office as they will guide better regarding the required fee and other procedures. They would also give you a form to be filled with all the details.  You will be advised to go to a browsing centre to do the payment from the university staff. So, do the payment via a computer rather than the phone. Here are the steps that would help you make payments online:  Open the university website, go to the examinations, fees, other miscellaneous fees. You will have to enter the amount and pay for it online. However, the payment would be slow and it would go through. If you don't get the acknowledgment slip then simply enter the enrollment number again and click on acknowledge and one will get the receipt and take a printout of that slip. Once the payment is done then you need to go to an officer for the seal and stamp. Then you will be asked to meet the Chief examinations officer for documents verification. After all this work, the work at the university is done. Put all the documents in an envelope and seal it as per the requirements and the university itself would courier it to the required personal.  The university provides a telephone number that you can use to call them to get the tracking number. However, the calls do not get answered. My personal advice would be to go to the university as it works faster. Try to arrive early as it will fasten up your process. Do not approach any middle man or any other online transcript services as the University has strict rules regarding it and they do not acknowledge it.
