LPU B.Tech Course

LPU offers a full-time B.tech program for 4 years. B.Tech program state clearly the concepts from basic science to technology with to the point practice through lab and project work for building systematic skills and keeping the requirements of the industry in place. The program is spread over eight semesters. LPU B.Tech and B.Tech (Hons.) Industrial Collaboration

LPU offers several B.Tech programs in collaboration with top industries such as upGrad, ImaginXP, Xebia, IBM, Intel, Siemens, etc. The University has started B.Tech specializations with international credit transfer options with multiple partner universities. In addition to this, LPU also offers B.Tech (Hons) program in additional innovative honours electives and projects in contemporary areas. Tabulated below are the details for the same:

LPU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria required to study B.tech is as follows:

• Candidate must have passed 12th examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% with Physics, Chemistry, Maths as compulsory subjects or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.
• For students scoring more than or equal to 90% at JEE Mains or 90% aggregate marks in 10+2, LPUNEST is exempted.
• Students who have not studied English as a subject, the condition of English will be waived off provided he/she has studied in English medium in the qualifying exam.
• A 5% relaxation to Sikkim, Northeast states candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or wards of Kashmiri migrants.

LPU B.Tech Admission 2024

The details application process is given below:

Step 1: Signup

• Register on the LPU official admission portal with all the basic details required(Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). 
• After successful registration, you will get a mail on your registered email id regarding this.
• Login to LPU ADMIT using your previously created username and password.

Step 2: Apply for LPUNEST

• LPUNEST is an online entrance test conducted to offer admission to programs you are interested in.
• Deposit the test fee:
• The application form and a soft copy of the LPUNEST Kit cost INR 1000 (for boys) and INR 500 (for girls).
• The cost of the application form and the printed LPUNEST kit is Rs.1500 (for boys) and INR 1000 (for girls).
• Fill out the test application form.

Step 3: Book the exam slot

• Book the time slot as per your preferred date, time, and venue to appear in the test.
• You can choose from the 200 cities in India where the test will be conducted.
• Download the examination hall ticket.

Step 4: Result and Seat Allotment (Online Counselling)

• Get your scorecard/ rank.
• Fill in the seat preference.
  • The student can give preferences which can vary in-stream and program.
• In the first round of counselling, depending upon the seat availability and preferences filled by the candidates, a particular preference number would be allotted.
• Download the allotment letter and proceed to the admission step.

Step 5: Admission

• Deposit initial payment of INR 10,000. After the successful realization of the payment.
• A Provisional Registration Number will be produced and sent to the email address you provided.
• Upload the required documents.
• The balance fee must be charged within the university's deadlines.

LPU B.Tech Cutoff 2023

The candidates will be selected based on LPUNEST scores. The minimum marks set by the University are based on the number of candidates, a number of vacant seats, average performance in the entrance test, and last year’s cut-off. LPUNEST cut off 2021 is as follows:
