Lovely Professional University is pretty good in all aspects such as academics, infrastructure, faculty, ranking, etc.
LPU is one of the best private universities in the country. You can benefit a lot from attending the institute.
No, these universities almost have zero credibility. You have to realize the fact that the main goal of these big universities is to make money.
I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities:
Overall it's a no-brainer to avoid attending these institutes. Paying so much when you are getting so little in return, makes literally no sense at all. So think twice before opting for any of these institutes.
KIIT is a better option compared to LPU. It is a deemed university and offers better career opportunities to students. Here are the highlights of KIIT Placement 2022.
Highest CTC | INR 52 LPA |
Average CTC | INR 6.05 LPA |
Total no of recruiters | 350+ |
Total no of offers | 5000+ |
Top recruiters | Amazon, Infosys, Escorts, Accenture |
Placements are especially good for CSE department. However, KIIT charges high fees.
Your placement depends upon both skills and expertise. But, in terms of LPU, there are several companies that visit the campus for placements. However, very few students receive a high placement package.
LPU is one of the best private universities that offer students more than 250 programs. Engineering, out of which, is on the high end of demand. LPU shortly has been awarded the “National Employability Award-2020”.
Have a look at the current placement statistics of 2021:

Compared to Amity Noida, LPU is better in terms of placements, infrastructure, and campus life. Each year more than 500+ national and international companies visit LPU placements. Microsoft, Adobe, and Amazon are some of the major recruiters. During the 2021 placement drive, the highest CTC offered was INR 42 LPA.
LPU has a brilliant faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs, and are reputed universities around the world.
You can avail all the facilities on the university campus itself. There are central libraries, hospital facilities, indoor sports stadium, shopping mall, and ATMs.
Although the course fee is a little high, you can avail of merit-based scholarships and sports scholarships.
Firstly, if you haven’t been able to get into Lovely Professional University, don’t get discouraged. Getting into IIMs is also a privilege. You can land decent jobs even as an IIM graduate. So just settle for the best IIM and achieve your goals.
But if you still think with one more chance you can ace the entrance exam of LPU, then take a dropout year and prepare well for it. It will be a year full of struggles but you will have to deal with it with the right spirit. Who knows you might actually get into LPA this time and fulfill your dream.
When it comes to pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Lovely Professional University (LPU) stands out as the best private university compared to CGC and Landran. Here's why:
If you are willing to pursue B.Tech. (CSE) and are confused between LPU and UPTU, then you need to go through the pros and cons of both to make a better understanding.
Uttar Pradesh Technical University:
Pros-
Extremely affordable. It's a government university so the only relaxation is fees.
Better placement opportunities
Cons-
Education tactics adopted are old school.
The structure of exams is below average
Bad internet facilities
The compulsory attendance rules do not let you conduct research.
Lovely Professional University:
Pros-
A large-scale advertisement which is not of much use to an engineer
Extensive international collaborations
Placements in Google, Facebook, Yahoo, and Microsoft
Cons-
Lack of proper study material and timely educational help
Placements are usually off-campus. This means they are dependent on your hard work and not on the university.
Both universities fail to provide a very good education and have a lot of shortcomings. Choose LPU or UPTU only if you have no other option. Of the two, UPTU is still a better option because of its low fees and better education strategies.
If you are looking for a university that can provide good placements, Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar is a great choice rather than LNCT, Bhopal. LPU offers ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placements. In fact, LPU has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to the placements of its students. Aspiring Minds have ranked LPU as having the Most Employable Students consecutively seven times in a row.

Apart from providing excellent placement opportunities, LPU caters to the all-around development of its students. The university provides ample opportunities to learn and grow, with training and internship, extra-curricular activities (Sports events, Cultural events such as ONE INDIA, ONE WORLD), entrepreneurship, on-job training, project-based learning, and celebrity events (Ms.Dhoni, Deepika, Sarukhan, etc.). With such diverse opportunities, students can boost their careers and reach new heights of success.
Overall, LPU is a great university that provides good placements and ample opportunities to its students. Once you have enrolled, you can be assured that you are in good hands, and with hard work and dedication, you can reach the pinnacle of ultimate success.
Chandigarh University is the better choice among these two.
But CU has a strict 75% attendance policy. You will need to attend classes regularly, as there is no poxy policy.
