LPU B.Ed admission 2024 is open now. Admission to B.Ed at LPU will be done through the LPUNEST entrance examination. The last date to apply for LPUNEST 2024 Phase-I is January 25, 2024. LPUNEST 2024 Schedule 1 Exam will be held from January 20 to February 05, 2024.

LPU B.Ed Admission 2024 Dates

The important dates for LPUNEST 2024 (Type 2 Programmes) has been given below:

LPU B.Ed Course

Lovely Professional University offers a B.Ed program that aims in preparing quality teachers for the betterment of students. Students under this course are prepared through intensive training, field engagement, and a comprehensive curriculum which focus on developing the ability to qualify CTET/ STET. The course is being run for the duration of 2 years. Each academic year of the program comprises two semesters. Below mentioned is the semester wise curriculum:

Foundation Courses: Provide base for learning the core courses.
Core Courses: Provide base for learning the basics of major areas/ programmes/ discipline.
Specializations and Electives: Elective courses from within the discipline are provided to give more depth to student's core competencies.

Further, LLPU B.Ed end term and mid term examinations are conducted at the end of each semester. After the publication of results, if a student remains satisfied with the evaluation, he/she can apply for re-evaluation of the answer booklet.

LPU B.Ed Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in the B.Ed program of LPU must fulfill the following criteria:

Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Commerce or equivalent must have at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Candidates with a B.Tech or BE degree with specializations in Science and Mathematics or equivalent should have a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
Candidates taking up the concerned subject combination must have studied them for a minimum of three years in their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
A relaxation of 5% is provided to SC/ ST/ BC applicants.

LPU B.Ed Admission 2024

Admissions into the B.Ed course of LPU are merit based determined on the basis of the candidate’s performance in qualifying examinations. Candidates who fulfil the above mentioned eligibility criteria are only eligible for further admission process.

How to Apply?

Below mentioned are the steps to apply for the programme:

Visit the official website of LPU.
Click on ‘Apply Now’.
Candidates first need to register themselves in the LPU ADMIT with basic details such as Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password.
Candidates will then receive a mail in their given email id regarding the registration and they will have to confirm it.
After successful registration, sign in to their LPU ADMIT account with their created username and password.
Fill the application form with the necessary details such as qualification, academic and personal details.
Upload scanned copies of your recent photograph, signature, matriculation marksheet, qualifying exam certificate/ marksheet and address proof.
Deposit the test fee:
- Cost of Application form and Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is INR 1000 (for Boys) and INR 500 (for Girls).
- Cost of Application form and Printed LPUNEST Kit is INR 1500 (for Boys) and INR 1000 (for Girls).
Submit the application form.
After the document verification process, candidates need to deposit the balance fee within the timelines prescribed by the university..

B.Ed program in LPU is offered for a duration of 4 semesters. More details related to the course are mentioned below.

Pedagogy: B.Ed is offered in the form of pedagogy subjects. Each student needs to select one pedagogy subject from Basket-I and a second pedagogy subject from Basket-II and should be different. Pedagogy of language can be studied with any of the other pedagogy subjects provided it should be studied in Graduation for at least one year. Two languages as pedagogies can be offered in cases where the candidate has done BA (Hons) in Languages. Language of Hons. subject will become major subject and other language will be the minor one. Ans. LPU NEST for B.Ed is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes and it consists of 55 MCQs. Marks of each subject mentioned below are 30:

Lovely Professional University is pretty good in all aspects such as academics, infrastructure, faculty, ranking, etc. LPU has a brilliant faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc. The institute has a good placement record. LPU placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 42 LPA. Major MNCs like Godrej Consumer, CEAT, Allianz, Hindustan Unilever, etc. visit the campus placement. LPU has a good ecosystem for entrepreneurship as well. If you have a good idea, you can get seed funding from the institute. All basic amenities are available on campus. You won’t need to go out to get anything. The campus has a central library, a shopping mall, indoor sports facilities, public and private sector banks, ATMs, etc. LPU is one of the best private universities in the country. You can benefit a lot from attending the institute.

No, these universities almost have zero credibility. You have to realize the fact that the main goal of these big universities is to make money. I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities: During the admission, you will be told about the institute and will be assured about top-class facilities including AC in your classrooms. When you get allured in, you will face reality. Your expectations will be barely met. Most of the teaching faculties are newly appointed with most of them having no experience in teaching at all. Most of them will vanish after that semester and again, new faculties are appointed. Attendance criteria is very strict and teachers' way to control students. Even if you are five minutes late to the class, talking in class, or unable to answer a question in class, you are marked absent. There is no particular format for allotting the internal assessment or Semester end exam marks. If teachers are not that fond of you, you are definitely going to have a tough time here. Making students reappear in their exams is a new scheme of making money for these institutes. Whenever the results are out, around 80% of the class is going to fail in one or more papers. To reappear for one paper, you have to pay 5-8K. Fee demand is very high and ROI is very low, due to which the number of students drop out every year. You will be judged in every aspect, based on what you are wearing, that too if you are a girl. You will be sent back to hostels. Overall it's a no-brainer to avoid attending these institutes. Paying so much when you are getting so little in return, makes literally no sense at all. So think twice before opting for any of these institutes.

Placements are quite good for ECE, CSE, EEE, and Mechanical branches in Vel Tech. In 2020, the highest CTC offered in the placement drive was 10 LPA. Major recruiters that visited the placement drive were Infosys, Byjus, Capgemini, Amazon, etc. You should note that in India other than IITs, NITs, or BITS Pilani, the other engineering colleges don’t put that much effort to enhance the skills of the students.
