The university ensures making this transition smooth and comfortable. The university has a wide range of options that meets the needs of all students. There are rooms ranging from Standard Rooms to Apartments and students can opt for accommodation as per their convenience and choice. The Hostels are major of three types:

1. Standard Rooms

Standard Rooms are lodges like the arrangement where students can live in a shared 4/3/2/1-seater room with an option of having Air Cooled or Air-Conditioned Ventilation. The charges for standard rooms are as follows:

Early Decision benefit: Early Decision Benefit on residential charges of INR 10000 would be given to the students, if the applicant avail of the residential facility on or before July 15, 2022. The net effective charges after the Early Decision benefit, will be as per the following table:

Standard Room Charges: LPU provides 4/3/2/1 seater apartments with several facilities to its students. The charges regarding all the seaters are tabulated below:

Note(s):

• Non- AC rooms will have Air Cooler installed in each room.
• If a student has opted for 4 seater and due to any reason he/ she leaves 4 seater in between or opts for 3 seater/ 2 seater/ 1 seater then the entitled units will be distributed amongst the students staying there. For example, in 4 seaters if 3 students are staying then they will be entitled for 250*3= 750 units and excess units will be divided amongst the students and will be paid by them accordingly.

2. Apartments

Apartments are 1/2/3/4 seater rooms with attached washrooms. These facilities are constructed to provide luxurious accommodation. The apartment has a common kitchen area, dining and lobby area. The charges for the apartments are as follows:

Note: If a student has opted for 3 seater and due to any reason he/ she leaves 3 seater in between or opts for 2 seater/1 seater then the entitled units will be distributed amongst the students staying there. For example, in 3 seaters if 2 students are staying then they will be entitled for 400*2= 800 units and excess units will be divided amongst the students and will be paid by them accordingly.

3. Dormitories

Dormitories are 1/2/3/4 seater shared rooms with 9-14 seaters. The charges for the apartments are as follows:

Dormitories Charges: LPU provides 4/3/2/1 seater shared with upto 9-14 seaters with several facilities to its students. The charges regarding all the seaters are tabulated below:

• Hospital (in campus) with resident doctors and ambulances
• Counsellors for resolving issues like homesickness, Studies etc.
• 24-hour security; Turnstile Access to residential areas for ensuring security

• 66 KVA substation for power supply and 24 hours power back-up through generators

LPU Mess Plan

The mess plan of LPU for the academic session 2022-23 will be provided till the end of the regular academic session including regular exams or 10 months from the start of the session, whichever is earlier. Students can avail of the mess plan two days prior to the start of the academic session and will be required to leave it within two days after regular exams. For availing Mess Plan after the end of academic session for any purpose like summer school/ reappear examination/ make up examination/ PEP/ EEP classes etc., additional proportionate charges for mess and its administration will have to be paid by the student, subject to the availability and permission for mess plan. The fee details regarding the LPU mess are as follows:

Early Decision Benefit: Early Decision Benefit on mess charges of INR 5000 would be given to the students, if the applicant avail of the mess facility till June 25, 2022 or on mess charges of INR 4000 would be given to the students, if the applicant avail the mess facility from June 26, 2022 to July 15, 2022. The net effective charges after the Early Decision benefit, will be as per the following table:

Note(s): 

• A customized plan (e.g. for the full calendar year) may be provided upon request.
• Students have an option to avail Mess Plan from the University or may manage on their own. Mess Plan may be offered in 2 different categories i.e. Standard Mess and Ala Carte.
• Standard plan includes option of North Indian/ South Indian/ Rajasthani/ Haryanvi/ Gujarati/ Eastern/ North-Eastern Cuisines. North Indian and South Indian cuisines can be opted in the same hostel mess or at centralized locations. Regional cuisine is available at specific locations only.
• Ala Carte - Choice of Dishes plan includes the option to take any available dish from any cuisine. For example, at lunch, students may pick a few dishes from the available North Indian menu and a few from available South Indian menu and a few from some other cuisine. At dinner, students may opt differently as per their choice. This Mess Type will be served at selected locations that may be outside the allotted hostel.
• Any Particular Mess Facility as mentioned above/ below may be offered subject to the minimum number of students opting for the same.
