Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends Scholarship Scheme to students on various parameters. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. Students have been awarded scholarships worth INR 100+ crores in last year only. Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories:

• Percentage in qualifying examination/ Percentage in Qualification previous to Eligibility Qualification & toppers in State and Central Board.
• Certain National Level Tests: LPU offers Scholarship for various programs on the basis of Performance/ Rank in the following National Level Entrance Tests:

• Performance in Sports, Co-curricular, Cultural, R&D, SocialService & National Bravery Awards.
• LPU’s Entrance and Scholarship Test: LPUNEST Scholarship for a specific Program depends on Performance in LPUNEST. There are three brackets:
  • LPUNEST score more than or equal to Category I cut-off
  • LPUNEST score more than or equal to Category II cut-off
  • LPUNEST score more than or equal to Category III cut-off

Scholarship applicable for all programs will be as per the following table:

Microbiology], BBA Programmes, Hotel Management (Including Lateral Entry) Programs, B.Arch., B.Plan., B.Design and B.Sc. (Design) Programs, (Including Lateral Entry and it's Specialization), B.A.-LL.B., BBA-LL.B., Bachelor of Fine Arts, B.A. (Fine Arts), B.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication), BPT (Including Lateral Entry), B.Sc. Group 3: For B.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering Programs (Including Hons., Lateral Entry, International Credit transfer and its Specialization), Under Graduate Agriculture Program, BCA Hons., BBA Hons., B.Com Hons., B.Pharm., B.Pharm. (Lateral Entry), Post Graduate Agriculture Programs and M.Pharm Programs, M.Sc. (Clinical Embryology).

LPU defines different phases of admissions depending on the time an applicant registers himself/herself with the University. The Scholarship as mentioned in the above table is for the first phase of admission. A subsequent phase of admission may be defined as per the availability of seats, where the scholarship will be reduced.

• All other conditions as mentioned under the head “Terms and Conditions for LPU-Scholarship and its different phases” in Part B of Prospectus-2022 will also be applicable.

Course-wise scholarship details are mentioned in the below table.

Special scholarship scheme on performance in Innovation, Startup, Entrepreneurship & Hackathons: LPU offers a special scholarship scheme on performance in Innovation, Startup, Entrepreneurship & Hackathons. This scholarship is offered to students who would like to continue their pursuit of creative minds. This scholarship is primarily meant to inspire students to follow their dreams.

• The scholarship will be awarded to the students based on achievements in the previous two years.
• Students will be selected on the basis of their achievements at the international/national level.
• The final recommendation for the policy will be given by the selection committee.

On the basis of Performance in LPUNEST (Ph.D.)

The categories of scholarship are based upon performance in LPUNEST (Ph.D.). The cut-off for each category will be announced along with the result of the respective schedule. The scholarship details are as per the following table:

Note: Applicant seeking test (LPUNEST (Ph.D.)) exemption on basis of, UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF)/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF) examination/ SLET (Punjab only)/ GATE/ GPAT/ ICAR (NET), Teacher Fellowship holder or passed M.Phil. Program (in Regular mode only) may appear for test LPUNEST (Ph.D.) in order to avail of the scholarship as mentioned above. The result of the scholarship for Ph.D. applicants will be declared along with the Ph.D. Interview results. Scholarships up to 90% of the program fee are offered to research associates in centrally funded labs, Professionals working in Industry/Corporate/Teaching, and candidates with various research achievements.

• Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service and Bravery Awards
• Special Scholarships and/or Fee Concessions
  • Defense and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel and their dependants
  • Toppers of Education Board
  • Scholarship for Orphan Applicants
  • Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability

Note: Scholarship brackets and/or Phases are not applicable for special scholarships and /or fee concessions.

Scholarship Brackets: For each category, there exists three brackets of Scholarship (Bracket 1, 2 and 3) are defined. Each bracket has its own respective criteria that need to be met for availing of the applicable scholarship. Therefore, the students meeting the requirement of Bracket- 1 get the highest Scholarship and those in Bracket - 2 or 3 get a relatively lesser scholarship.

Scholarship Phases: Admissions in LPU are done in different Phases, which are bifurcations of the Admission time period. The amount of Scholarship also depends on the Phase in which the candidate takes admission in the University. (Phase – I) starts as early as January 2022 and continues till the end of April 2022. The subsequent phases (Phase-II, III, IV, V) are conducted only if the seats in the concerned Programme remain vacant. The amount of Scholarship reduces with each passing phase and no scholarship is offered in Phase - V (if conducted).
