Course Description

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University MBA Admission 2023 is open now. The Last Date to apply is March 30, 2023. The BMAT Entrance exam conducted by the university for admission to MBA program will be conducted on April 9, 2023.

BVDU offers a full-time MBA (Master of Business Administration) in various Specializations. Its specializations are Human Resource Management, International Business, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Information Technology Business Management, General, Business Analytics and IT Consulting. Minimum Eligibility is to complete a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board of University. Candidates applying to MBA Program should qualify the BMAT Entrance Test conducted by the University itself.

BVDU MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to MBA Course should have completed 18 years of age as on the date of admission.
Candidates should have completed Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45 % in case of SC/ST Candidates) from a recognized Board of University.
Candidates in the final year Degree (Bachelors or Masters) are also eligible to apply for MBA.
Qualifying Degree by the Candidate can be of any Disciple.
Candidates who have pursued their Graduation in any medium other than English will have to complete an orientation course in English provided by the Institutes satisfactorily.
Candidates who have done their Graduation on part-time or one-time sitting basis or on a two-year basis are not eligible. The candidate should have completed a minimum of 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).

BVDU MBA Admission Guidelines

Selection of Candidates for MBA Program is based on BMAT Online Computer based Entrance Examination followed by Counselling conducted by the University itself at designated centres.

How to Apply?

Candidates taking Admission into MBA Program have to apply through Online Mode. Steps to Apply are as follows:

Visit the Official Website of the University.
Click on ‘Apply Now’ on the Website and register yourself by making credentials.
After Registering, login after 3 Days and fill the Application form.
Fill required Details in it and apply yourself for the Entrance Test.
Make the fee payment of INR 1700 (INR 1000 for reserved Category) using Internet Banking Mode.
Also upload scanned Signature and Passport-Size Photographs along with all other required Documents.

The following certificates in original along with self-attested two copies each of the same are to be submitted at the time of counselling and on the spot admission.

BVDU MBA Course Details

Duration of the Course is 96 weeks and 120 students are enrolled in the MBA Course. Examinations are held at the end of each semester. The MBA Program enhances the management competencies of future corporate leaders by imparting skills. It equips the students to face the various business challenges to set themselves apart as leaders and entrepreneurs.

MBA Program is differentiated in the following two cases:

MBA Program:

This program involves core courses requisite to business education, open courses that are interdisciplinary in nature and general courses that are focused towards skill development, career development and are value adding. The students can opt for Dual Specialization during the third semester to enhance employability. The electives offered are Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Banking and Insurance, Information Technology, International Business, Retail, Production, Hospitality Management, Financial Markets.

MBA (HR) Program:

Apart from Courses that impart Business Management knowledge, the program has in-depth focus on HR area, that include, Compensation Management, Labour Economics, Managerial Competencies, Human Resource Information System, Labour Laws, Strategic HRM, Training and Development, Performance Management Systems, Organisational Development, Cross cultural management, Assessment centres, HRD instruments. In addition, the students of MBA-HR can opt for electives in areas of Marketing, Finance, IT etc.

Ques. How will the rank be determined if candidates have equal marks for MBA Eligibility at BVDU?

Ans. In the case of Candidates securing equal aggregate marks their relative rank will be determined on the basis of following order of preference:

If equal, Candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks obtained at HSC or its equivalent examination.
If equal, Candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks scored at SSC or its equivalent examination.
When all the above scores are the same, Candidates will be ranked on the basis of computerized random numbering.

Ques. Tell something about the nature of BMAT exam at BVDU?

Ans.The BMAT exam is a 150 minutes Online Computer based entrance test for admission to MBA Programme. It comprises 200 marks containing 200 multiple choice questions each with four options. One Mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There is no negative marking. It contains 50 questions each on Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, English & Comprehension, Management Skills.

I have a friend who completed his engineering program from BVDU, Pune back in 2018. Here is a brief overview of the college based on his experience at the institute. Campus- The campus is beautiful. Before it became deemed to be a university it used to be among the best colleges under PU. College life- Academic-wise, the practical portion is generally neglected. BVDU follows the PU submission pattern, so you'll be compelled to finish your assignments before the deadline. Crowd- My friend mentioned that due to the crowd, BVDU always stood superior to the IITs in Pune because here you would come across people who belong to diverse backgrounds and mindsets. This diversification shapes your personality. Faculty- It is pretty average. But for someone who carries a thirst to learn, they would not be disappointed. The HOD and professors are no doubt excellent. But the biggest drawback is that they don’t put in 100% effort. Placements- In case you're someone with excellent coding skills, the companies that show up may give you a chance, Students from ECE, IT, CS has decent placement record. You can try to work on your communication skills, build your LinkedIn network and contribute your work in the final year. The average salary received by students was 7 LPA while the highest package was 54 LPA. All in all, it may not be the best college in Pune, but you'd come across several people from different backgrounds and the faculty quality is also good. You can definitely consider it as an option.

Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University, Pune is certainly a good institute. For the E&TC branch, the placement scenario and the packages that are provided are both good. CS&IT branches have average placement records. For Civil, the placement record is not that good. The studies at the Mechanical Department are good and tougher as compared to other branches. There, you would find a group of faculty members who are seniors and much more experienced in their subject domain.
