BVP Pune was established in 1964. It offers various UG and PG courses in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Management, Hotel Management, Catering Technology, Environment Science and Agriculture etc. These courses are offered in constituent and affiliated colleges of the university located at Pune (Satara Road and Erandwane), Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad and New Delhi.

BVP Pune offers admission on the basis of various National and University-Based entrance tests followed by university-level counselling. Application form for all the courses can be filled online by visiting the official website of BVP Pune.

B.Tech admission is based on CET (Engineering) conducted by the university and MHTCET or JEE Main in the case of remaining seats. NEET UG qualified candidates are eligible to apply for MBBS and BDS programs. For B.Arch program, a valid score in NATA will be considered. MD/ MS and MDS admission is based on a valid score in NEET PG.

M.Tech admission required a valid score in GATE followed by counselling.
Apart from university-based entrance for M.Pharm program, the candidates with a valid score in GPAT is also considered for admission.
For MBA and MCA programs, BVP conducts B-MAT and B-CAT entrance tests respectively.
For other UG and PG courses offered by the university, the candidates have to appear in separate entrance tests followed by counselling.
For Second year B.Tech, MCA (Lateral Entry), B.Pharm Practice (Second Year) admission, candidates are also selected on the basis of a valid score in university-based entrance tests.
For M.Phil & Ph.D. courses, the candidates need to qualify for university-level admission test conducted at All India level.
CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ SLET/ GATE or DBT qualified candidates are exempted from M.Phil/ Ph.D. Admission Test.
15% and 30% seats in all courses are reserved for NRIs/ PIOs and Female candidates respectively.

Bharati Vidyapeeth University (BVP) Pune Pharmacy Admission 2023: B.Pharm, Pharm.D, M.Pharm & B.Pharm Practice

BVP Pune offers B.Pharm, B.Pharm Practice (Regular+Lateral Entry), Pharm.D., Pharm.D. and M.Pharm at UG and PG level under Poorna College of Pharmacy. B.Pharm is the minimum eligibility criteria for M.Pharm and Pharm.D (PB). 10+2 with PCB is mandatory for B.Pharm, B.Pharm Practice and Pharm.D. courses.

Admission to pharmacy courses is based on BVP entrances conducted separately on different dates followed by counselling. GPAT qualified candidates are also eligible to apply for M.Pharm program.

College of Engineering under BVP Pune offers B.Tech (Regular+ Lateral Entry) and M.Tech programs in various disciplines for the duration of four and two years respectively. 10+2 with PCM is the minimum eligibility criteria for B.Tech while BE or B.Tech degree in the related discipline is required for M.Tech program.

GATE score is mandatory for M.Tech while B.Tech admission is granted on the basis CET conducted by BVP and MHT CET/ JEE Main in the case of remaining seats. Ans. The entrance examination conducted for the said courses is called PHARMUG. It is an English medium, three-hour MCQs based Written Test. Candidates have to answer 100 questions each in Physics and Chemistry subjects. There is no negative marking in the test.

BVP Pune would be a better choice as Pune is a technical city and plays an important factor in the placements. The city has all the MNCs and is the top place for a student for great placements.

Also, Bharti Vidyapeeth Pune is among the best private Universities in the city because of the well-educated and experienced faculty and also the placement packages it furnish. Therefore, you should go for BVP Pune as it will be a better choice.

I have a friend who completed his engineering program from BVDU, Pune back in 2018. Here is a brief overview of the college based on his experience at the institute.

Campus- The campus is beautiful. Before it became deemed to be a university it used to be among the best colleges under PU.
College life- Academic-wise, the practical portion is generally neglected. BVDU follows the PU submission pattern, so you'll be compelled to finish your assignments before the deadline.
Crowd- My friend mentioned that due to the crowd, BVDU always stood superior to the IITs in Pune because here you would come across people who belong to diverse backgrounds and mindsets. This diversification shapes your personality.
Faculty- It is pretty average. But for someone who carries a thirst to learn, they would not be disappointed. The HOD and professors are no doubt excellent. But the biggest drawback is that they don’t put in 100% effort.
Placements- In case you're someone with excellent coding skills, the companies that show up may give you a chance, Students from ECE, IT, CS has decent placement record. You can try to work on your communication skills, build your LinkedIn network and contribute your work in the final year. The average salary received by students was 7 LPA while the highest package was 54 LPA.

All in all, it may not be the best college in Pune, but you'd come across several people from different backgrounds and the faculty quality is also good. You can definitely consider it as an option.

MSIT, MAIT, and BVP are all are reputed colleges with their own advantages. The choice depends upon various factors and the one that seems convenient to you. Consider the following points.

The commutation time is more at MSIT. It is crucial to saving your traveling hours to be productive. You can join if commutation is easy for you.
MAIT has a casual approach. You need not worry about attendance or internal markings.
BVP Pune is a strict institute. They look for attendance and internal markings based on your performance. You cannot expect any grace marks or partiality. It has an AC campus.

Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University, Pune is certainly a good institute.

For the E&TC branch, the placement scenario and the packages that are provided are both good. CS&IT branches have average placement records. For Civil, the placement record is not that good. The studies at the Mechanical Department are good and tougher as compared to other branches. There, you would find a group of faculty members who are seniors and much more experienced in their subject domain.
According to 2020 placement highlights, the average package which is offered is around 7 LPA. The highest placement that was offered went up to 12 LPA.

Getting good placement also depends a lot on your efforts. The campus is green and beautiful.

Bharati Vidyapeeth University is a decent Institute for Computer Science and Engineering.

In Bharati Vidyapeeth University, there is no such big MNCs that come for placement.
The placement in this institute depends upon your capability. The average and highest CTC offered at the institute are 6 LPA and 18 LPA. With exceptional skills and capabilities, you can get excellent job offers in off-campus drives too.
The teachers in the institute are usually experienced and quite cooperative in all aspects.
Mostly, students with a good score in CSE and IT get at least one job offer from companies visiting this institute.
The course structure and lab facilities in the department of Computer Science and Engineering are quite good, having all the necessary facilities.

Which is better between Bharati Vidyapeeth and the Maharaja Agrasen College in Delhi?

According to the reviews online, both the colleges are more or less equal. This also matters on what department you are taking an admission in.

They both have decent placements.
The faculty is better in Bharati Vidyapeeth (BVP) and Maharaja Agrasen College (MAC).
BVP encourages students to take part in extracurricular activities.
The college provides enough study material for preparation.
BVP is also preferred due to its location. It has better connectivity to all places.
MAC is known to have a well maintained infrastructure. The classrooms and labs have all the necessary facilities.

The one thing MAC students get to enjoy are the fests conducted by the college. Whereas in BVP these are not properly arranged, it is more concentrated on academics. Overall BVP is better if you want to work hard and study well, otherwise you can opt for MAC, for a more lenient and fun college environment.

NIRF has ranked MAIT, MSIT, BVP, and Thapar University in 251, 263, 98, and 29 in India. MAIT, MSIT, BVP offer a BTech program in CSE whereas Thapar offers a BE program for the same.

Admission & Cutoff:

For admission in the CSE branch at MAIT, one has to secure a place in the top 500 ranks in the IPU CET exam or must have JEE Main rank falling under 27,611.
MSIT demands IPU CET rank under 1000 and JEE main ranking under 39,497 for the CSE branch.
In BVP students should have MHT CET below 300 and JEE mains rank under 80,000 to secure a place in CSE.
To get admitted to the CSE branch at Thapar university, one must have a JEE main Ranking under 25,000.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Delhi is better than DIT University for a BTech in CSE. It is under IP university and has better brand recognition. Bharati Vidyapeeth placements are great, especially for CSE. Students usually receive an average CTC of around INR 5 LPA. While the highest package offered to the branch is around INR 12 LPA. Due to the location advantage, the recruiting companies visiting the campus placement is better too.
