BVP Pune was established in 1964. It offers various UG and PG courses in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Management, Hotel Management, Catering Technology, Environment Science and Agriculture etc. These courses are offered in constituent and affiliated colleges of the university located at Pune (Satara Road and Erandwane), Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad and New Delhi.
BVP Pune offers admission on the basis of various National and University-Based entrance tests followed by university-level counselling. Application form for all the courses can be filled online by visiting the official website of BVP Pune.
B.Tech admission is based on CET (Engineering) conducted by the university and MHTCET or JEE Main in the case of remaining seats. NEET UG qualified candidates are eligible to apply for MBBS and BDS programs. For B.Arch program, a valid score in NATA will be considered. MD/ MS and MDS admission is based on a valid score in NEET PG.
- M.Tech admission required a valid score in GATE followed by counselling.
- Apart from university-based entrance for M.Pharm program, the candidates with a valid score in GPAT is also considered for admission.
- For MBA and MCA programs, BVP conducts B-MAT and B-CAT entrance tests respectively.
- For other UG and PG courses offered by the university, the candidates have to appear in separate entrance tests followed by counselling.
- For Second year B.Tech, MCA (Lateral Entry), B.Pharm Practice (Second Year) admission, candidates are also selected on the basis of a valid score in university-based entrance tests.

BVP Pune offers B.Pharm, B.Pharm Practice (Regular+Lateral Entry), Pharm.D., Pharm.D. and M.Pharm at UG and PG level under Poorna College of Pharmacy. B.Pharm is the minimum eligibility criteria for M.Pharm and Pharm.D (PB). 10+2 with PCB is mandatory for B.Pharm, B.Pharm Practice and Pharm.D. courses.

College of Engineering under BVP Pune offers B.Tech (Regular+ Lateral Entry) and M.Tech programs in various disciplines for the duration of four and two years respectively. 10+2 with PCM is the minimum eligibility criteria for B.Tech while BE or B.Tech degree in the related discipline is required for M.Tech program.
GATE score is mandatory for M.Tech while B.Tech admission is granted on the basis CET conducted by BVP and MHT CET/ JEE Main in the case of remaining seats. Ques. What is the structure of the examination conducted for admissions to B.Pharma and Pharma.D at BVP?
Ans. The entrance examination conducted for the said courses is called PHARMUG. It is an English medium, three-hour MCQs based Written Test. Candidates have to answer 100 questions each in Physics and Chemistry subjects. There is no negative marking in the test.

Ans. Some of the most sought after courses at BVP are the BTech course, MTech course and BPharma courses; among others. Admissions to the BTech course is done through CET/MHT CET/JEE scores. In the case of MTech, admissions are done on the basis of GATE scores.

Ans. The MBA course at BVP is very famous and every year a lot of students apply for the course. The course is offered under 6 specialisations. The students must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 50% Marks, and a valid score in BMAT followed by GD.

Ans. The MD course has a very strict eligibility criteria. The students must posses BHMS or equivalent qualification in Homoeopathy included in the Second Schedule to the Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973., after undergoing a course of study of not less than five years and six months duration including one-year compulsory internship. After the eligibility has been met, the students must have a valid score in NEET PG to secure admissions.

I choose B. Tech in computer science at Bharati Vidyapeeth College, Navi Mumbai. The eligibility criteria for pursuing B.Tech is 12 passed above 60 percent. To take admission we have to clear the entrance exam JEE mains with 80-100 percentile for good colleges. the entrance exam is in cbt mode. It is mcq based exam. The reservation benefits are also available.

There was an entrance test held prior to the admission process named B-UMAT and the students have selected basis of their rank scores. The application form was available on the university website. There were no reservation benefits all were treated equally. The entrance was quite delayed.

The admission was done through BVPCET which is an entrance exam conducted by the college itself and no other exam is accepted by the college. There are few seats reserved for management quota students whose fee is just double the original fee. In the chemical branch, there are not a lot of students as this branch is in less demand. And also cutoff is very low, even if you score negatively you'll get a chemical branch. But yes there are many students who have taken an interest in this branch and competition is tough. You can find the application on the official page of Bharati Vidyapeeth. Its registration fee is around 1900/- After the exam, the college will first call you offline to the campus for admission but after sometimes they start the online procedure also.

I have a friend who completed his engineering program from BVDU, Pune back in 2018. Here is a brief overview of the college based on his experience at the institute.
Campus- The campus is beautiful. Before it became deemed to be a university it used to be among the best colleges under PU.
College life- Academic-wise, the practical portion is generally neglected. BVDU follows the PU submission pattern, so you'll be compelled to finish your assignments before the deadline.
Crowd- My friend mentioned that due to the crowd, BVDU always stood superior to the IITs in Pune because here you would come across people who belong to diverse backgrounds and mindsets. This diversification shapes your personality.
Faculty- It is pretty average. But for someone who carries a thirst to learn, they would not be disappointed. The HOD and professors are no doubt excellent. But the biggest drawback is that they don’t put in 100% effort.
Placements- In case you're someone with excellent coding skills, the companies that show up may give you a chance, Students from ECE, IT, CS has decent placement record. You can try to work on your communication skills, build your LinkedIn network and contribute your work in the final year. The average salary received by students was 7 LPA while the highest package was 54 LPA.
All in all, it may not be the best college in Pune, but you'd come across several people from different backgrounds and the faculty quality is also good. You can definitely consider it as an option.

For the E&TC branch, the placement scenario and the packages that are provided are both good. CS&IT branches have average placement records. For Civil, the placement record is not that good. The studies at the Mechanical Department are good and tougher as compared to other branches.
