Bangalore University offers good academics. Scoring the pass mark is easy. But you need to put in the effort to score higher marks.

Courses such as Microbiology, Life Science, Biotechnology, Genetics, etc. are comparably easier to score good marks. The evaluation process is a little difficult for courses such as Physics, Biochemistry, Political Science, etc. Just solving the previous years' questions will not help you score good marks in these subjects. You need to complete the syllabus as well.

According to the reviews online, Bangalore University (BU) is an average university and is known to be deteriorating day by day.

  • Students are irritated by their evaluation system.
  • They tend to check the answer sheets carelessly.
  • The faculty never completes the syllabus.
  • The announcement of results is delayed quite often.
  • The condition of the campus is deteriorating and no action is taken to solve it.
  • There is a lack of core technical subjects in B.Com.

It is suggested that you do not go for BU, as it won't provide learning and understanding courses, topics and the concepts. It will be better if you opt for VTU instead.

Doing an MCA from Bangalore University is certainly worth the time and money invested. It offers decent academics. Third semester onwards, the course work includes two mini projects per semester. This gives a lot of hands-on learning experience. These projects will also help you enrich your resume.

The placement will depend on how you utilize your skills and knowledge. The average CTC for MCA offered during the recent Bangalore University placements was INR 6 LPA.

Here are some of the tips that you may find helpful if you are planning on joining Bangalore University.

  • If you are from a good financial background try to get into other universities like Christ or Jain. If not try to join a better college under BU.
  • While filling up your examination challan, be careful. If something went wrong, you will have to visit many offices.
  • The examination papers won’t be difficult. You can easily score well if you solve the last 5 years’ questions.
  • You don’t need to study all year long to get good marks. You can easily score well with a day’s preparation.
  • BU doesn’t release results in time.

Try to take part in extra-curricular activities, Also, don’t rely on the university for academics, learn things on your own.

BCA at Bangalore University is not a good option for your career. Here are some reasons to support this statement:

  • The BCA syllabus it follows is outdated.
  • You will be learning about things which will have no practical use in your career.
  • The faculty members are also not enthusiastic about teaching new topics.
  • Same projects are given to the students every year.
  • Securing a job after graduating with a BCA is tough.
  • Because the jobs you will be applying for will require your skills and knowledge about the subject.
  • If you are not updated with the changing trends of the industry, it will become tough to secure a job.

It is suggested that you go for an MCA after completing BCA to get better job opportunities. Also try for VTU rather than BU because they are said to provide better education.

If you are considering pursuing higher education and are wondering about the advantages of studying in a prestigious university, you should consider studying at the University of Mysore, rather than going for Bangalore University.

Here are some reasons why studying at the University of Mysore might be a great choice for you:

  • The University of Mysore is a renowned institution that attracts students from all over the country. It is everybody's dream to study there and make a successful career for themselves.
  • Mysore city itself has a charm of its own, with its lush green campus and beautiful surroundings that add a lot of energy to your academics.
  • The professors at the University of Mysore are fantastic and are dedicated to encouraging students to achieve their goals. They are also taskmasters who challenge students to perform at their best, which can make scoring a decent percentage quite difficult.
  • There are now many private and deemed universities in India, which provide students with more choices for higher education. However, in my time, there was no choice but to study at either Mysore or Bengaluru, and failing to secure a seat at either of these universities meant jeopardizing one's future.
  • Both the University of Mysore and Bengaluru University have produced exceptional talent that has contributed to the betterment of the nation. However, my personal preference would be Mysore because of the calmness and serenity that the city brings.

Studying at the University of Mysore can be a great opportunity to receive a high-quality education and benefit from the beauty and serenity of Mysore city.

According to the reviews online, Bangalore University (BU) is an average institution. It sure is one of the oldest in the country and has a reputation. But it nowadays has been seen to deteriorate day by day.

Here are some facts about BU:

  • The faculty members, though highly experienced, are very few. Most of the classes are taken by Research students.
  • There is no proper management.
  • The exam results are delayed most of the time.
  • The syllabus is not upgraded catering to the latest trends in the industry.
  • Bus service is not provided.
  • The canteen is not clean and well maintained.

Most students choose to study in this college due to its brand and reputation. It is an older elite institute which they often think will be reliable. The quality of education is considered to be good and students are selected here for admission based on their merit.

This depends on how well you want to perform in your exams. If your aim is to just get passing marks, then it is fine to prepare from the last 5 years' question papers. But it also depends on luck as sometimes all the questions are new and none of them are repeated.

Therefore it is better to study everything and complete the syllabus and then practice from the last 5 years' question papers.

Try taking the guidance provided by your teachers and also your seniors. You can opt for coaching classes also to prepare better. Divide your strengths and weaknesses and work on them accordingly.

Lastly, practice from the previous years papers. This will familiarize you with the question pattern, the overall questions and give you an idea about the time limit.
