Doing an MCA from Bangalore University is certainly worth the time and money invested. It offers decent academics. Third semester onwards, the course work includes two mini projects per semester. This gives a lot of hands-on learning experience. These projects will also help you enrich your resume.

One of my friends studied at Bangalore University (BU). According to him, VTU is more demanding than BU. He mentioned that more preference is given to a BE student from VTU or BU, followed by an MCA from VTU and at last MCA from BU.

Lastly, placements here are average. Securing a job depends more on your overall academic performance, theoretical and practical knowledge and skills, than the college. So, even if you do not get on-campus placements you can go for off-campus placements.
