The university conducts term-end examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Kashmir University provides various scholarships under different categories to deserving candidates. The university offers three different scholarships mentioned below:
- Merit Scholarship: Two merit holders in any course are eligible for 2 merit scholarships. It is granted on the basis of merit in the Entrance Test. Students enrolled in the final year of M.A./M.Sc/M.Com can avail scholarship on the basis of merit scored.
- Research Scholarship: There are four scholarships in each department that are awarded for carrying out research leading to the award of Ph.D./ M.Phil degrees. In addition, they will also receive a grant for meeting miscellaneous expenses annually.
- Student Aid: It is financial assistance offered to meritorious students who come from low-income groups. The university also provides assistance to students with a poor economic background with preference being given to students who are orphans.
