Amar Singh Government College formerly known as Amar Singh Technical College was established in the year 1913 at Gogji Bagh, Srinagar. It is affiliated to Kashmir University and the Cluster University of Srinagar. The college is also recognized by the UGC and has been accredited B++ grade by NAAC. The campus is spread over 35 hectares with all amenities that include several buildings for classrooms, well-equipped laboratories for science courses, computer labs, a large playground, parks, and gardens.

Sports: The college has the necessary infrastructure for various sports. This includes fields for cricket, football, and kabaddi, as well as courts for volleyball, badminton, and table tennis.
Hostel: The hostel provides hygienic rooms for male students, and can accommodate approximately 100 students on a sharing basis. The hostel also serves meals (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) to those housed there.
Library: A large library containing more than 70,000 books is available for the benefit of the students. All reference books required for undergraduate and postgraduate courses are housed here. A computer cataloging system for all the books is presently being developed, along with access to over 50,000 e-books.
Auditorium: A new Hi-Tech auditorium was built in 2020. It is equipped with an HVAC system, spotlights and stage lights, audio/visual, PA, and recording facilities and several events have been conducted successfully here.
