Course Description

IPU BBA admission 2023 is ongoing against vacant seats based on CET and CUET. The Merit list of candidates selected for counselling is out now. Candidates can check and download the merit list through the official website @ipu.ac.in. Verification of documents and allotment of seats for candidates in the merit list will be done from October 25 to October 30, 2023. Check IPU Admission 2023

IPU offers a full-time two year BBA program to eligible candidates. Admission to its BBA course is based on the candidates’ performance in the IPU CET examination.

Candidates applying to the university should have passed the 1092 examination with a minimum of 50% marks as an aggregate.
Over the years the institute has seen a growth in its placement process, as some of the top companies such as Amazon, Adobe, Wipro have become a part of the recruitment process.

IPU BBA Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for BBA admission at IPU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 from CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and English being the core subject.
GGSIPU allows both Indian as well as Foreign candidates to fill the GGSIPU BBA 2023 application form.
Candidates applying for admission to UG courses must be between 18 and 21.

IPU BBA Admission Guidelines

Admission to BBA and allied programs at IPU is based on scores obtained in the IPU Common Entrance Test (IPU CET). The university also accepts Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) scores for admission. The first preference will be given to IPU CET and national-level test scores for respective programs and CUET scores will be given second preference. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be called for counselling. Based on the cutoff released by the university, candidates will be allotted seats.

IPU BBA Application Process

Visit the official website of IPU - ipu.ac.in
Go to the Admission Section on the homepage and click on “Apply Online”
Click on “IPU Registration 2023” to proceed further
Click on “Fresh Candidate Registration” in order to signup at IPU admission portal
Read the terms and conditions carefully and click on “I Agree” to proceed further
Fill in the necessary details like Name, Mobile No, Email ID, and create your user id and password
Click on Submit button and you’ll be redirected to the login page
Now, log in using your user id and password
Fill the application form by providing General and Professional Information along with Payment details
Upload the scanned copies of the required documents
Verify the details you have provided in the form and check the Declaration box
Submit the application form and pay an application fee of INR 1500/- by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking
After fee submission, course details along with transaction ID will be displayed
Download and take a printout of the application form for further reference

CUET Application Process

Visit the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Register by filling in all the required details. An application number and password will be generated and sent to your registered mobile no and email.
Login to your accounts using newly generated application number and password.
Fill the CUET application form by providing valid details.
Fill all the educational details and proceed towards filling university and program name.
Select the test paper/subject for the First & Second slot of CUET 2023 exam. It is advised to read the information bulletin of the respective University before test paper/subject selection.
Candidates can select the four cities as their CUET examination center on the basis of their preferences. Click the “save” button to proceed further.
Upload the supporting documents for the details mentioned in the application form. The documents need to be uploaded in the provided format.
View and update the application form before the application fee payment. Once all the details are verified check all the uploaded documents using the view button in the ‘Uploaded Scanned Files’ section.
Confirm their Email ID before proceeding with CUET Application Fee Payment.
Pay the application fee, The application form will be submitted on paying the fee.
Download the confirmation page for future reference.

IPU BBA Course Details

The total number of credits for the BBA program is 140.
Each student needs to undergo practical training of eight weeks during the vacations after the fourth semester in an approved business/industrial/service organization and submit two copies of the summer training report.

It’s normal for you to get confused between DU and IPU. Both are well-reputed universities with high cutoffs. Choosing one of them can be made easy if you go through these differences:

Colleges: DU colleges are famous for their high cutoffs. If you have scored 97 and above you will surely get admission to an A-grade college. But anything below 97 (even a 95) will send you to a B-grade college. So it’s better to study in an A-grade college at IPU than in a B-grade college of DU.
Admission criteria: At DU, admissions are based on board exams, whereas at IPU you will have to give a CET (Common Entrance Test).
Internships: All the universities recommend internships but IPU has made it compulsory. These internships not only build your CV but might also give you full-time jobs.
Freelancing: At IPU most students prefer freelancing or part-time jobs to support their profession. The classes end early around 1 pm. Whereas in DU the timings of the classes vary a lot due to which you cannot spare time for freelancing much.
Fees: Pursuing a professional course at IPU will cost you more than that at DU. This is because of its excellent infrastructure and facilities.
Specialisation: DU is well known for its theoretical subjects like English, History, and Geography. Whereas IPU specializes in vocational courses like B. Tech, Journalism and Mass Communication, BBA, BCA, and MBA.

Choose MSIT if you want to prioritize degree value over cost. Otherwise, go with SRM. MSIT CSE placements are excellent, but if you live in a politically neutral environment with large campuses, consider SRM, Chennai.

Technical societies, such as IEEE, are very active, and if you are fortunate enough to be a part of them, it is better for you in terms of placement and 'knowledge building.

If you are serious about expanding your knowledge, there are a few amazing teachers as well as seniors who can assist and guide you. It is entirely up to you to make the most of the available opportunities.

Having friends who study in both colleges, I can assure you that, there is no comparison of Sharda University with any IPU colleges unless it is low rated.

If you are taking your studies seriously you should consider entering colleges affiliated with IP University.
But Sharda University offers amazing placement and internship opportunities as they have good tie-ups with few top companies.
You can do good even at Sharda University if you are good at self-study and can get motivated on your own.
The positive side of Sharda University is that it has a great crowd.

There are alumni at Sharda University who are unemployed. Even a number of graduate students from IPU are still searching for jobs. There are students at both of these universities who have reached heights in technological fields.

One of my friends had recently joined Thapar University and here are some of the facts about it that make it stand out among others.

One of the best streams to pursue at Thapar University is CSE.
The placements at Thapar are really good and most of the CSE students get placed.
Some teachers are not very good with their teaching methods. One of the best professors at Thapar is Mannek sir, he is a mechanics teacher.
One of the best things you will encounter while studying at Thapar University is the senior mentors. They are like siblings and help you with everything.
The infrastructure is not very well developed yet, there are few buildings with air conditioning but unfortunately not all buildings.
There is various student societies present which you can also join.

According to the reviews online, the majority of the students said it is not a good option to pursue MBA from IP University, Delhi.

Here are some reasons why:

More focus is given on theoretical preparation than the practicals. Students often complain about the incomplete training.
If you wish to learn about your course, it will not provide you with the satisfaction. Because mostly students tend to mug up last year’s questions and answer books.
Scoring is easy even if you study only 2-4 days before the exam.
The same 10-15 questions are repeated every year.
If you want to build yourself, you mostly have to do it all on your own, because the college won't make much effort.
Placements here are average. Only the top 10 students are usually given access to sit for the placements.

Therefore a lot of students do not get the proper opportunities to get a job. If you are willing to work on your own and are confident enough, then only opt for IP University, Delhi.

One of my friends studied at YMCA while my sister studied at IPU. I can share their experiences and let's see who won:

YMCA receives a lot of good companies each year.
IPU receives IT firms most often with a package of INR 3.25 LPA. The only highlight of IPU is Microsoft.
As a CS or IT, you will find it to your liking. In YMCA Amazon, Maruti, Adobe, Snapdeal, Yamaha, and many more reputed companies come to hire B.Tech graduates.

Placement is what matters to most, however, it's not the only parameter of comparison but because YMCA tops in placements which is an essential factor nevertheless, it wins!
