Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada was founded in the year 1986 with a sole aim to bring health related disciplines under one head for the sake of providing education, spreading awareness through its qualified doctorates in the field of health sciences, accommodating a quality of research and training.

NTRUHS offers a variety of UG, PG, PhD programs in the field of health sciences.

The PhD program is offered in two modes i.e. full time or part time.

The candidates can get admission into the PhD program by paying the application fees of INR 5000/- (non-refundable) by the demand draft mode by any recognised banks in the country, along with a written application.

Eligibility Criteria

FULL-TIME PhD

Candidate should have a master’s degree in the following disciplines ;-

• MD
• MS
• DNB/MDS
• MD (AYUR.)/ M.Sc.(N)/MPT
• MSc (MEDICAL)

From the same or any other recognised university.

*candidate from any equivalent master degree can also apply*

Candidates should have masters’ degree in medical sciences stream such as (biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, biotechnology, zoology etc.)

M.Phil. in medical sciences are also eligible.

PART-TIME PhD

• Candidates applying for part time PhD should have at least 1 year of working experience in institutions affiliated to NTR University.
• Researchers/Teachers/Scientists working in any Government approved research centre having 5 years of experience can apply.

Admission Process

Requests from the aspirants from pre-clinical, para- clinical and clinical subject, dental sciences, AYUSH courses, physiotherapy, nursing, naturopathy and allied sciences are put to the priority.

The university reserves the right to interfere in between the admission of the candidates.

• Along with the application form the aspirants should also attest with the outline proposal of the research in a limited period of time.
• Candidates will be charged INR 5000/- & DD in the name of Registrar of the university.
• Two passport size photo and academic certificates are also attested.
• Candidate should fill the entire form, incomplete forms might get rejected.
