Having a few friends from both institutes I might be able to share some facts about both the institutes. Chemical Engineering at UICET is better than Chemical at Thapar University or CSE at CCET.

• UICET is a well-renowned university and has a reputed department. 
• They have brilliant placement records and a strong alumni base.
• Laboratories and faculty at UICET are better than those at Thapar.
• Course fees at UICET for chemical engineering are very less than that in Thapar University. 
• Thapar is no doubt a well-reputed university but as far as chemical engineering is concerned UICET is better.
• CCET is affiliated with PU located in sector-26 Chandigarh. It is well known for its diploma courses.
• However, UICET is any day better than CCET in all terms.

Your preference order should be Chemical Engineering at UICET> Chemical at Thapar University> CSE at CCET.

There are a plethora of parameters based on which one can decide which college is better than the other. But at the same time, your choices and your priorities also matter to decide which college you will opt for. You might not get all the fulfillments in the college checklist but you can set your priorities. If you want the stamp of Panjab University on your degree, then you can opt for CCET Chandigarh. Although, CCET will not provide you with any extra benefits/royalties like Panjab University. Instead of CCET, UIET is a better choice. 

From the study point of view, there is not much difference between these two colleges. 

It totally depends on your career interest. In India, there are very few jobs in the aerospace industry than in Computer Science Engineering. However, you should definitely pursue ‘Aerospace Engineering' at PEC University.

Aerospace in PEC

• Aerospace Engineering (PEC University) is an excellent choice. It has a good reputation, personal development opportunities, better placements, and experienced faculty members.
• Companies providing placement are Airbus, Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Bell Helicopter, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, Rockwell Collins, etc.

CS in CCET Chandigarh

• Computer Science from CCET, Chandigarh, on the other hand, is not a good option. It is not as well-known as PEC University.
• Campus placements are limited. CSE is now equivalent to MCA, and MCA graduates can apply for the same job as a Computer Science engineer.
• Companies Provided placements are Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Cognizant Accenture, and many more.

One of the most important factors to consider when selecting a college is its reputation. A good college reputation will lead to better future plans with good people like you.

GBU Noida is a pioneering institution among India’s engineering colleges that provides a decent placement of 80-85% every year.

CCET Chandigarh is affiliated to Punjab University and ranks 68th as per NIRF ranking 2020 among India’s engineering colleges.

• BTech’s admission criteria are a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 and a written test GPTU.

CCE Chandigarh:-

• The admission criteria for BTech is a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 along with JEE Mains.
• The institute charges INR 2.45 LPA.
• 60 seats are available for the program. 

UIET Chandigarh:-

• The admission is based on the valid score of 75% marks in 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
• The candidates must have a valid score in the JEE Main exam. 
• The total program fee is INR 3.25 LPA.
• The seats available are 40. 

UIET Hoshiarpur:-

• The BTech admission for both these colleges is based on a valid score of 75% marks in 10+2 with JEE Main. 
• The program fee is INR 3.52 LPA.
• 62 seats are available for the program. 

Placements:

All these institutes are an excellent place to pursue engineering courses and provide on an average of 80% placements every year in top-notch MNCs.

The top recruiting companies are Wipro, HCL, Honda, Berger, Paytm, Piramal, Oppo, TCS, etc. 

UIET Chandigarh is a way better than the rest in terms of faculties, placements and environment. The students will get an ample number of opportunities to enhance their skills. UIET is especially famous for CSE and IT departments, where the placements are above 90% every year.
