Exemptions of PTE Test for Australian PR

The applicants of Australian Permanent Residency need not take the PTE English language proficiency test if they satisfy the following conditions;

The applicant should be a Citizen and holds a passport issued by the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, and the Republic of Ireland.
The applicant’s English should be assessed as functional by the Australian Adult Migrant English Program service provider.
The applicant should have completed a degree, higher degree, and diploma or trade certificate in an institution in or outside Australia with at least 2 years of full-time study and instructions in English.

The applicant should satisfy either one of the conditions in the education category:

All years of Primary and at least 3 years of secondary school in or outside Australia with instructions in English
At least 5 years of secondary school in or outside Australia with instructions in English
At least 1-year full-time study towards an award in an Australian institution with instructions in English
The part-time equivalent of 1 year of full-time study towards an award in an Australian institution with instructions in English
