Karnataka PGCET 2022 Counselling schedule for counselling will be uploaded on the official website of the exam authority. Students short-listed through the merit list must attend the counselling rounds according to this schedule, in order of merit. Karnataka PGCET 2022 Counselling will consist of 5 steps.

Step 1: Online Registration
Aspirants who will qualify Karnataka PGCET 2022 will be eligible for counselling. Candidates will have to report to the closest Helpline Center to register themselves.
Step 2: Verification of Documents
After registration, aspirants will have to proceed to the verification counter where they will have to submit original along with set photocopies of documents. Once the individual is deemed eligible he will be given a verification slip and a confidential key which will have login details about the online option form.
Step 3: Filling of Preference Form
Students must login using the details on the high-security key to filling the preference form. KEA will publish a list that will include the number of participating colleges, courses offered and available seats. Candidates can fill the preference form by referring to this list according to the college and course they wish to pursue. They can apply for multiple colleges and courses provided they are eligible for the same.
Step 4: Seat Allotment
Applicants will be allotted seats as per ranks acquired in Karnataka PGCET 2022, preferences of college and course. The details regarding the procedure of seat allotment will be given in Karnataka PGCET 2022 brochure.
Step 5: Reporting to the allotted College
Candidates must report to the allotted college for completing all the admission formalities and payment of fees.

Objections Against PGCET Answer Keys
- In case any discrepancy or error in the question paper or answer key, you can file your objections, if any.
- Objections must be sent along with all the supporting documents and justifications. Objections received without any justification or received after the last date shall not be considered.
- The objections received by KEA will be placed before an Expert Committee, whose decision will be final in this regard.
- Students can send their objections along with justification supporting their claim to ‘Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore’ in person or by mail/ speed post.
- Karnataka PGCET 2022 final answer key will be released along with the results after going through each and every objection.

Step 2: Select the option of ‘PGCET 2022’. Search for the link of ‘Karnataka PGCET 2022 Result’ and click on it.
Step 3: The result will appear in a new window in the form of a rank list.

Karnataka PGCET Merit List
Karnataka PGCET 2022 Merit List
- The merit list will be prepared separately for MBA, MCA, ME / M.Tech / M.Arch.
- PGCET Merit list will be solely be based on the marks obtained in the written exam i.e. Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test without taking the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination.
- Make note that the qualifying examination marks are considered only for eligibility.
- Therefore, the candidates are advised to attend the counselling only if they have the requisite percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. (i.e., should have obtained 50% of aggregate minimum marks taken together in all the subjects for all the years of the Degree examination. 45% of aggregate marks in all the subjects for all the years in the Degree examination in the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST.
- Further, candidates of Karnataka origin will be eligible to claim reservations. Therefore, the mere assignment of merit /rank to a candidate does not confer any right to select a seat.

Tie-breaking Criteria
In case two or more participants secure same marks, then the following criteria will be used to resolve ties in Karnataka PGCET 2022 and determine the merit position of the individuals in the descending order-
- A student who scores higher marks in the qualifying examination will get a better rank.
- Candidates older in age are preferred.
