NM College BMS is a better option compared to NMIMS BBA. The course fee is nominal. The total course fee for the 3-year long course is around INR 84,000. While NMIMS BBA total fees are around INR 9.30 lakhs. NM College placements are good. The median CTC offered was INR 4 LPA during the recent placement drive. The ROI is definitely better compared to NMIMS BBA.
I have a few friends from KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, so I can give you some insight into their BMS course.
KJ Somiya is not a good option if you really want to pursue BMS for knowledge and not just for the sake of a degree. The teaching experience for BMS at KJ Somiya will not be satisfactory.
If you prefer knowledge over a degree, then you should go to some other better colleges such as MCC in Mulund. But, if you just want a degree in BMS then you can opt for KJ Somaiya. KJ Somaiya has a huge campus. This is advantageous if you want to bunk lectures and have fun sometimes.
Among these two options, NMIMS BBA is the better choice. The course is well-designed as per the current trends of the industry. The curriculum is interactive and there are various study-based projects and presentations that will keep you engaged.
NMIMS BBA placements are pretty good. Around 100% of students get placed. The average CTC received by the student of this department is INR 3 LPA.
NM College of Commerce and Economics placements are good for BMS students. Here are the recent placement highlights.
Parameters | Statistics |
Average Package | INR 5 LPA |
Highest Package | INR 10-12 LPA |
Placement rate | 80% |
BMS Students usually get placed in job roles such as business developers, analysts, associates, etc. Many large-scale companies including the big-4 take part in the placement drive.
Having some of my friends study in both colleges, I can say that enrolling in Shaheed Sukhdev for BMS would be much more apt than that of IIM Rohtak for IPM. Both the colleges hold their places enormously but Shaheed Sukhdev will be better due to their overall educational experience.
There are several reasons for choosing it, some are:
Categories | IPM at IIM Rohtak | BMS at Shaheed Sukhdev |
Course Fee | 30.75 lakh | 40,075 |
Course Duration | 5 years | 3 years |
Highest CTC | 24 LPA | 19.25 LPA |
Average CTC | 13 LPA | 8-10 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Amazon, Accenture, Berger, Capgemini, etc. | Google, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, etc. |
It is suggested that you choose BMS over IPM. Though, both have their pros and cons but opting for BMS is worth more than IPM. Also, Sukhdev has a great market reputation and placement record. After all, it’s your decision that matters. Think appropriately for yourself. Good Luck.
Mithibai College is definitely the better choice for a BMS. The college offers an excellent faculty base for BMS. The environment on campus is ideal for academics. Mithibai College fees for BMS is also quite affordable. The 3-year long course will cost you around INR 84,000 approximately. All these factors make this college a better choice for pursuing a BMS degree.
Some of my friends attended Wilson College for their BMS degree. You will get to meet people with diverse backgrounds from all over the country. The student crowd is good. As there are many extra-curricular and co-curriculer activities, you will get to work with many student and learn through interactions. This will certainly help you in your overall development.
A few of my friends attended Wilson College for their BMS. According to them, it is a decent option for pursuing this course. The faculties are decent for the BMS department. The HOD of the department is Dr. Zuleika Homavazir. Who is well-known for her strict nature. But according to my friends, at the end of the course, the rules and her strict guidance pays off well.
For BMS, Wilson is a good option. It gives you opportunities to learn and grow. Other than decent academics the institute also offers many extra-curriculer and co-curriculer activities. Taking part in these activities will make your CV stand out. The BMS degree will help you grow holistically. Wilson College BMS placement scenario is decent. Students get internship offers from Morgan Stanly.
No, having Maths as a subject combination is not a necessary criteria to pursue BMS at Wilson College, Mumbai. I know students from non-mathematical backgrounds who are pursuing their BMS from Wilson. There are even students from Arts background. So, it doesn’t matter, if you don’t have a Mathematics background. But you should note that the BMS course includes Business Maths.
