Is NM BMS better or NMIMS BBA?
Posted On - May 19, 2021NM College BMS is a better option compared to NMIMS BBA. The course fee is nominal. The total course fee for the 3-year long course is around INR 84,000. While NMIMS BBA total fees are around INR 9.30 lakhs. NM College placements are good. The median CTC offered was INR 4 LPA during the recent placement drive. The ROI is definitely better compared to NMIMS BBA.
Having friends from both institutes, I can say that among the two, BBA from NMIMS seems to be a better choice.
The points below give a brief overview of both advantages and disadvantages of both the institutes:
- The NM College functions under the guidance of Mumbai University and follows its curriculum.
- The course structure followed in NMIMS is based on projects and research.
- Due to much more self-control of NMIMS, it is preferred over NM College. There is a decent project-based learning approach in NMIMS, which is not the case in NM College due to the Mumbai University affiliation.

Comparing the placement statistics of both the institutes, NM College is on the higher side, offering good roles in the industry to students. It is one of the most established commerce colleges.
Both the institutes have some points of advantage, and some points of disadvantage too. It is, therefore, a neck-to-neck choice, and depends upon the expectations of the candidate from the course he/she opts for.
