Directorate of Technical Education, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh is the organizing body for MP BArch Admission 2023. Admissions to the BArch course in Madhya Pradesh are based on NATA or JEE Main Paper -2. No separate entrance examination is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Bhopal. 

BArch Admission in Madhya Pradesh is done on the basis of the NATA or JEE Main scores. MP BArch Admission Process is based on the entrance exam scores and is followed by a counseling process in the month of September and October.

To seek MP BArch Admission candidates can either give JEE Main Paper II or NATA. The JEE Main Paper 2 for Session 1 was held from January 24 to February 01, and the results were released on February 07, 2023. JEE Main Session II registrations are open from February 14 - March 12, 2023, and the exam dates are April 6, 8,10, 11, and 12. NATA 2023 will be conducted thrice in 2023.

NATA

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national level undergraduate exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) for admission to Bachelors of Architecture (BArch.)

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen
  • The candidates should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate score in the 12th Board Examination, with Chemistry, Physics, and mathematics as the core subject.
  • The candidate must have scored the minimum qualifying marks in either NATA or JEE Main Paper-2

Counselling Procedure

MP BArch Admission 2023: Counselling Procedure

The candidates whose name is mentioned in the Merit List are eligible for the counseling session and seat allotment process. 

  • The counseling session will be held in an online mode.
  • The result of the published at the official website http://www.mptechedu.org/ and the applicants will have to log in to the website using their registration number and password. 
  • The applicants who have been allotted the seats have to report to the allotted institute at the mentioned date and time. 
  • The candidate is expected to carry certain documents for the counseling procedure, like:
  • 10th and 12th Mark sheet
  • 10th and 12th Passing Certificate

NIT Calicut CSE is a better option compared to IIT KGP Agricultural. It offers good academics and placement opportunities for CSE. Companies like Amazon, Cisco, Infosys, Microsoft, etc. visit NT Calicut placements. During 2022 campus drive, students of CSE received an average CTC of around INR 20 LPA. The highest package for CSE goes up to INR 49-50 LPA.

School of Planning and Architecture Delhi is the best architecture school in the country. To get selected for admission you will need to have a good rank. Securing a rank of around 400-500 should fetch you a seat at SPA Delhi. But you should keep in mind that the cutoff varies each year. In 2021, the opening cutoff for B.Arch was 212 (General).

One of my friends pursued his B.Arch from NIT Raipur. According to his experience, a Bachelor of Architecture from NIT Raipur is not a good option. The faculty quality is average. There is too much workload on students.

Key Highlights:

  • There are several good colleges in Maharashtra and Gujarat for Architecture. But NIT Raipur has a lot of bad reviews from students who have studied B.Arch in the institute.
  • Most teachers in Architecture at NIT Raipur are not good in their teaching habits and capabilities. Teachers make students mindless about their actions, even some hard working ones.
  • It is obvious that Architecture studies involve a lot of hard-work in assignments, but teachers are not even sensible about the fact.
  •  The curriculum at NIT Raipur is such that it can frustrate a student who has good concepts to the core.
  • People may tell you a college does not matter in the overall development of students. But, it is true that in fields like architecture and management, you need to be smart enough to deal with a lot of people in your career. So, the institute's atmosphere, and the people surrounding a student, do matter.

NIT Raipur is not a decent place for a Bachelor of Architecture, considering all the above factors. If you have any other options, it will be wise to go for them.

B.Arch at Poornima University is a better option to pursue because it is approved by the Council of Architecture and they have a Globally Accepted Credit and Grading system. It is also one of the largest groups of professional education in Rajasthan.

They are very much sufficient when it comes to the Architectural course. They have well equipped design labs for each year with proper work benches to cater to the needs of the students in all possible manners. 

The college has also received a rank 14 for its architecture course by Outlook Magazine.

Giani Zail Singh College is one of the oldest and reputed colleges when it comes to B.Arch. It is ranked at the 2nd position in Punjab.

The professors of the B.Arch department are well-learned and great at teaching. The alumni network of the college is good and some of them are placed in reputed companies and organizations. The college will engage you more in extracurricular activities to help you learn the management of events. 

There is only one disadvantage at Giani Zail Singh College is the lack of placements. There are no good opportunities available especially for B.Arch. Many of my friends have opened their own consultancy firms. 

If you have other options available, then go for them first because Giani Zail Singh College will disappoint you in terms of exposure.

IIEST Shibpur is better than BITS Sindri. Academics, placements, exposure, in terms of, all these factors it is well ahead. But you should give more priority to your choice of course while choosing one of these institutes. 

Architecture and Metallurgy are two entirely separate branches. According to the recent highlights, BIT Sindri placements for Metallurgy are better. The highest and average CTC for the branch is INR 10.11 LPA and INR 4.76 LPA, respectively.
