Hostel fees for BoysFee₹1.57 L

Hostel Security Fee of Rs.10,000/- will be taken at the time of registration.

Hostel fees for GirlsFee₹1.98 L

Rs.1,57,500/- Regular hostel for boys and girls at Bidholi and Kandoli campus.

However, for girl students we also have a few additional triple sharing rooms with ad-on facilities only at the Kandoli campus as indicated below:

Rs.1,97,750/- for hostel room with attached washroom and Air conditioning

My view of upes

What I Liked

Honestly , the best thing about is it's location . It is surround by mountains and is have a very good vibe.
The teaching faculty here is also very good and top class. They have quite good teaching methods.

What I didn’t like

Well , there is racism upto some level . If are from some other state u might face some racism
The city is very far from the college , which makes it as a disadvantage

Hostel Facilities:

The hostel which i stay in is outside the college . It is a big campus and provide almost every facility including good food , gym and places for playing sports also . Hostel can booked through their site or by directly visiting the premises . The hostel i stay is charging me 1.60 lac per year negotiable .

Campus Life:

We have a annual fest name uurja every where a special guest comes like last year darshan raval came and we also a annual sports fest known as spandan . The library is huge and have a decent amount of books for each and every courses . Classes are well equipped with projectors and white board . Theyare big and airy and have good seating space .

Univerty through a student's POV

What I Liked

The atmosphere of university was pretty good, nature surrounded campus keeps you calm and enhances concentration.
The behaviour of seniors was very supportive as well as helpful.
Faculty members are also very supportive.

What I didn’t like

Students are exposed to substance abuse which makes it an uncomfortable thing for other students.
Cost of living is quite expensive, so a student from normal middle class background finds it difficult.

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel facilities are also good although sometimes the food is not that good but the life at hostel is exciting and fun. You make friendships that lasts to your life. Facilities provided are 24/7 wifi, laundary, RO water supply, medical assisstance, well furnished rooms, secured campus, etc.

Campus Life:

Campus life is very interesting both socially and academically. There are clubs for each and every area of student interest whether it is literature, quizzing, MUN, sporys, music, dance, theatre, cultural activities, computer science societies, etc. There is a lot to do at campus along with your studies.

Which college should I choose for mechanical engineering: SRM Sonepat or UPES?

If you are considering the main SRM campus, you don’t need to hesitate. The campus is quite good. The faculties might not be great, but there are departments where they are found to be standard.

The hostels however are not quite up to the mark, so you can opt to search for a PG. The student crowd is quite impressive. You will be among talented peers. Also, SRM has a standard placement record.

Additionally, the other bonus point is that this institute is one of the most known private universities all through India. VIT, Manipal, BITS being the other three, while Thapar RVCE and so on follow straightaway.

A brief highlight of both institutes is briefed below.
