New Delhi: The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun has begun the application process for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes for the academic session 2023-24.

The UPES Dehradun offers full-time UG, PG & PhD courses. Part-time Ph.D.programs in various specialisations. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @https://www.upes.ac.in/.

UPES Admission is divided into two categories, Examination pathway and Non-Examination pathway. The examination pathway is when a candidate gives Entrance Exams conducted by UPES; while for the Non-Examination pathway, admission is done on a Merit basis or Score in National Level Entrance Examination.

UPES Dehradun UG & PG Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the UG and PG courses will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria.

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria:

The minimum eligibility to apply is 50% marks in class 10 and 10+2 along with 50% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects at 10+2 level.

MTech Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed with 60% marks in 10th and 10+2 level and must hold a B.Tech / BE in Petroleum / Gas Engineering / Petroleum Refining / Petrochemical Engineering / Geo-Science / Mechanical/ Chemical or M.Sc. in Geology with a minimum of 60% marks.
Candidates appearing in their final year examinations are also eligible for UPES admission by providing proof of eligibility

BSc & MSc Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed with 50% marks in B.Sc and 50% marks in 10th & 12th (PCMB) to be eligible for Msc admission whereas they should have passed with 50% marks in class 10th & 12th and 50% marks in PCM / PCB for UG admissions.

B.Com, B.Com (Hons) and B.Com (Hons) Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have obtained 50% marks in Class 10+2. Admission to these courses will be based on the performance in the Interview round.

LLB and LLM Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a minimum of 50% Marks in Class 10th & 12th.
Selection is based on the ULSAT Exam Conducted by the University followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

MDes Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed with a minimum of 50% Marks in 10th and 12th and minimum of 50% Marks in Bachelor’s Degree in Design / Engineering / Architecture / Interior Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year bachelor’s course)

BA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed with 50% Marks in Class 10th & 12th. The final Selection will be based on a Personal Interview conducted by the Institute.

BBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed 10th and 12th standards with 50% marks are eligible for the course.
Candidates are required to appear for the UPESMET-UG entrance examination for admission to the BBA program.
Selection to the BBA Program is based on UPESMET-UG Entrance Examination or Admissions through National Level Tests.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in class 10th, 12th and Graduation from a recognized University.
Candidates have to qualify for UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET) to secure admission to this course. However, UPES also offers admission through Non-Examination Pathway, i.e, based on score in any National Level entrance examination such as CAT / MAT / CMAT / NMAT or XAT.

BCA & MCA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are selected based on Technical Interview Round for BCA & Personal Interview Round for MCA program.

UPES Dehradun UG & PG Admission 2023: Selection Process

B.Tech Selection Criteria:

Candidates's admission to the B.Tech will be based on UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) through the examination pathway and also based on JEE Main/10+2 merit through the Non-examination pathway.
Admission Eligibility based on JEE Main Merit: Minimum 50% marks in class 10th and 12th and minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCM at 10+2 level.

BDes & MDes Selection Criteria:

Selection to the B.Des programme is done on the basis of the UPES DAT score or JEE Mains or UCEED or NATA scores followed by Portfolio Presentation and Interview.

Selection to the M.Des & B.Des is based on the valid score of CEED or UPES DAT followed by a Presentation and Interview.

BBA Selection Criteria:

Selection to the BBA Programme is done through UPESMET-UG and through National Level Tests.

LLB Selection Criteria:

Admission for LLB courses is based on the score of ULSAT or CLAT / LSAT scores.

M.Tech Selection Criteria:

Selection to the M.Tech programme will be done based on screening of the candidate's application, followed by an interview.
For selection to the BSc and MSc, all the eligible students will need to fill the application form after which screening will be done and they will be called for the Interview round. Those who perform well in the interview are granted admission.

LLB Selection Criteria:

Students can secure admission in LLB programs based on the ULSAT exam conducted by the institute and admission to LL.M is based on the ULSAT-LL.M exam.

MBA Selection Criteria:

Candidate's selection to MBA will be granted based on the UPESMET entrance exam (conducted by UPES) or Any National Entrance exam followed by Group discussion and Personal Interview.
