DGME Uttar Pradesh has released the first-round online counselling schedule for UP NEET PG 2026. Registration for state-quota MD, MS, Diploma and DNB seats will open on October 21 at 2:00 PM and close on October 26 at 11:00 AM. The payment window for the registration fee and security fee stays open until 2:00 PM on October 26, so candidates must treat the form deadline and the payment deadline as two separate cutoffs.
The notice, dated October 17, 2026, covers seats in government and private medical colleges, institutes and universities in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates should use the official UP NEET counselling portal at upneet.gov.in and check the DGME UP counselling notice at dgme.up.gov.in for the latest version of the schedule.
DGME Uttar Pradesh uploaded a separate candidate-instructions notice on October 21. It does not revise the dates below, but it adds important rules on choice locking, security deposits, document verification, medical checks and admission reporting.
Who the first round covers
This is the first round of Uttar Pradesh’s online state counselling for NEET PG 2026. The official schedule names MD, MS, Diploma and DNB courses and says the seats are in government and private medical colleges, institutes and universities in the state. It is therefore a state-quota counselling notice, not a general timetable for every NEET PG counselling route.

Why the 11 AM and 2 PM cutoffs both matter
The schedule gives online registration an earlier closing time than fee and security-fee payment. In practical terms, candidates should complete and submit the registration form by 11:00 AM on October 26. The payment window remaining open until 2:00 PM does not say that a new registration can be started after the form deadline. Do not wait for the payment cutoff if the application itself is incomplete.
How to use the official portal
- Open upneet.gov.in when the PG registration link becomes active on October 21 at 2:00 PM.
- Complete the registration using the details requested by the live portal and save the acknowledgement or application reference after submission.
- Make the registration-fee and security-fee payment within the separate window that closes at 2:00 PM on October 26. Keep the payment confirmation for your records.
- Check the merit list on October 26. The notice does not give a release time, so candidates should monitor the portal rather than rely on a forwarded message.
- Return to the portal for choice filling from October 26 at 5:00 PM to October 30 at 5:00 PM. Save the submitted choices or confirmation page.
- Check the allotment result on November 2. If a seat is allotted, download the allotment letter and complete admission in the applicable November 3–7 or November 12–13 window.
Important instructions in the latest DGME notice
- There is no stated limit on the number of choices, but candidates must lock their choices after filling them. Unlocked choices will not be considered for allotment.
- The security deposit will not be adjusted against tuition fees.
- Candidates allotted seats in private medical colleges must complete the admission process at the government-designated nodal centre named in the allotment information.
- At admission, candidates must produce original educational documents and undergo the required medical examination at the college or nodal-centre medical board. Missing or incorrect records can lead to cancellation of allotment or admission and forfeiture of the security deposit.
- For reservation and disability claims, use the prescribed certificates and formats stated by the Uttar Pradesh government and the DGHS/Ministry of Health and Family Welfare instructions. Keep checking dgme.up.gov.in and upneet.gov.in for further instructions.
What the notices still do not state
The notices do not publish the rupee amount of the registration fee or security fee, a complete document checklist, a category-wise seat matrix, or an individual candidate’s eligibility and domicile outcome. Candidates should use the current brochure and the live portal for those details. A fee figure or document list copied from an older counselling round may not apply to this round.
What happens after registration
Registration is only the first step. The merit list is scheduled for October 26, choice filling starts at 5:00 PM the same day, and the choice window ends at 5:00 PM on October 30. Candidates must lock their choices before the window closes. The result then follows on November 2, with two admission windows listed in the notice. Keep checking both the UP NEET portal and DGME UP page because a revised schedule, portal instruction or college-level reporting requirement can change what an allotted candidate must do next.
