Univerty through a student's POV

What I Liked

The atmosphere of university was pretty good, nature surrounded campus keeps you calm and enhances concentration.
The behaviour of seniors was very supportive as well as helpful.
Faculty members are also very supportive.

What I didn’t like

Students are exposed to substance abuse which makes it an uncomfortable thing for other students.
Cost of living is quite expensive, so a student from normal middle class background finds it difficult.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are being provided and there is a dedicated placement cell in the university which provides you lifetime placement assisstance. Internship oppurtunities are also provided by the placement cell.

Internships Opportunities:

At the end of first year their is a mandatory to do social internship which is provided by the placement cell, in which you have to do a 45 days internship with an university approved NGO and submit the report of the internship to the placement cell. In second year also placement cell assists you for the summer internship which is to be industry alligned.

Which college should I choose for mechanical engineering: SRM Sonepat or UPES?

If you are considering the main SRM campus, you don’t need to hesitate. The campus is quite good. The faculties might not be great, but there are departments where they are found to be standard.

The hostels however are not quite up to the mark, so you can opt to search for a PG. The student crowd is quite impressive. You will be among talented peers. Also, SRM has a standard placement record.

Additionally, the other bonus point is that this institute is one of the most known private universities all through India. VIT, Manipal, BITS being the other three, while Thapar RVCE and so on follow straightaway.

A brief highlight of both institutes is briefed below.
