After you have completed 4 years of MBBS, the last year is of internship where you will be employed in different departments like Eye, Ent, Surgery, Medicine etc., and have a hands-on approach to handling cases and patients. This is a very important phase in one's life as they learn patient handling critical and emergency medicine and overall practical experiences. The salary for an internship is around 30k/month. After the internship is completed one can either appear for NEET PG examinations to apply for a postgraduate course or they can opt for housestaff in any government it private hospitals. Internship here at RGKMCH is full of opportunities to learn and apply them in the future as the footfall of patients is around 5000/day which provides immense learning experience and exposure to the Medical graduates.

The stipend is around INR 29000 per month. Every day we see several cases and how the faculty handles them so calmly. We get to learn new things every day. We get to understand the patient which creates a healthy doctor-patient relationship. We get to know the importance of teamwork and why unity is strength.
