Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in the E&TC course and I choose this because basically, I was not in merit for the IT course but after studying I have come to realize even if my course is harder than IT&CS but there are many more opportunities for me than for placements and internship. The student ratio for my course is around 3:10 with IT&CS. The faculty here is very easygoing, they are great at teaching and also understand our problems easily and solve them. There is a Quiz exam(online) after every completion of 1 Unit and there is a Term exam. Term exams are very difficult compared to the papers of my other college friends. Also, teachers here are very strict at the time of exams and also at checking papers.

This College is an Autonomous college which is best for a great all-rounder. Because you have got much time for academic as well as other activities too. I don't know about the faculty-student ratio but the teachers are good. Most of the Teachers have Phd and many are pursuing it. Term exams are not so much tough.

I chose CSE because I wanted to pursue my career in DevOps and Cloud. For our Department, the ratio is 10:1 which is not that bad. Most of the professors have done masters and some even PhDs. There are CIE, SCE, ISE, ESE, and TW for overall semester-wise marks distribution. It's not that hard to pass the semester, one should be consistent. The difficulty is also medium and rests depends on the subject.

I choose the Aids course because it is very booming right now and has very good career opportunities. Faculty to students ratio is 50:1. 1 faculty for every 50 students. The faculty are very well qualified but I feel they are not very friendly while teaching, Some of them are very strict. Exams are something difficult and they happen every 3 months

Ques
Which is the best for mechanical engineering, VIIT in Pune, VIT in Pune, or MIT Pune?

● Top Answer By Nikhil Srivastav on 30 Mar 22

Ans
Among these, VIT Pune is the best option for Mechanical Engineering.  VIT Pune Mechanical branch is more than 20 years old. So, it had better exposure. This helps in better industry recognition, tie-ups.  VIT offers better placements for the Mechanical branch. It offers more core placements compared to VIIT and MIT. According to the VIT Pune Mechanical Engineering placements of the last few years, the average CTC for the branch is 5-6 LPA. VIIT shares campus placement with VIT. But few companies visiting the placement drive don’t allow VIIT students to sit for placement. VIT, VIIT, and MIT three of these colleges are autonomous, and they update their curriculum regularly. So, you can expect similar academics from all three of these institutes.

Which college is better for CS, VIT Pune or VIIT Pune (since both are autonomous now)?

● Top Answer By Devesh Bhatt on 04 Dec 20

Ans
Clearly, VIT Pune is better than VIIT Pune. Although both VIT and VIIT are autonomous under the same trust i.e. Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust, VIT has been operating as an autonomous body for a long time as compared to VIIT. Being in this field for a long period grants them immense experience. Given below is a brief overview of the cs program at VIIT Pune and VIT Pune. Category VIT Pune VIIT Pune Average CTC 6.68 LPA 6.18 LPA Course Fee 7.16 lakhs 6.56 lakhs Closing cutoff for CS 2019 1100 2648 Cutoff: (Winning Institute - VIT Pune) VIT Pune has a higher cut-off than VIIT Pune. In 2019 the closing cutoff for CS in round 3 of counseling was 1100 at VIT Pune. For VIIT Pune it was 2648 for the same. The student-crowd is the best in VIT and you will be among hardworking and serious peers. Placements: (Winning Institution - VIT Pune) The placement opportunities are ahead in VIT Pune when compared to VIIT Pune. For the 2020 batch, the highest package offered was 27 LPA and the average package stood at 6.68 LPA in VIT Pune. More than 120 companies visited VIT Pune for recruitment. VIT has experience in introducing changes to the curriculum, examination patterns, placements, etc and they execute the changes smoothly. You may feel the changes introduced are sudden and difficult to follow at VIIT. All these factors make VIT Pune a better option than VIIT Pune despite both being autonomous and being managed by the same trust.

Ques
What should I choose between VIIT Pune (IT) and PVG (CS)?

● Top Answer By Varsha Tomar on 11 Jan 21

Ans
VIIT should be the one to go for. First of all, it is an autonomous institute and has a good placement record in CS/IT branch and provides the best ROI, unlike PVG which is neither an autonomous institute nor has good placement. Both of them have minimum complimentary campus infrastructure.  VIIT falls under one of the emerging and best universities in Maharashtra i.e. Vishwakarma University. If we look at other parameters like Faculty, Placement, and Infrastructure, VIIT excels in all. It is improving at a good rate nowadays. Here is the table comparing the placements of VIIT Pune & PVG. Placement statistics for IT at VIIT Pune Academic year Placement per year Number of companies visited 2017-18 216 175(>10 LPA) 2018-19 336 291(>6 LPA) 2019-2020 295 150(<6 LPA) Placement statistics for CS at PVG  Academic year Placement in CS branch out of 100 students 2017-18 55 2018-19 81 2019-20 63 Looking in terms of branches, the course might be different in both colleges because the specializations are different. The placement statistics are also different while other parameters are industry project remains the same or common. Based on these factors, it is advisable to join VIIT for CS, IT, and E&TC rather than going for PVG.

Ques
Which is better for EnTC: VIIT, Pune or PCCOE, Pune?

● Top Answer By Kavita Kaushik on 11 Jan 21

Ans
If you are planning to go for electronics and communication technology (EnTC) then opt for VIIT Pune. It has a well-strategic academic curriculum for EnTC and the placement rate is also highly appreciable. The average salary is Rs 5.44 lakh. It has a beautiful campus, central library, conference room, and seminar hall which will win your heart. Whereas for PCCOE, Pune you'll find decent placement with a very average salary. You will find a wide variety of opportunities at VIIT. The most unique feature that makes VIIT special is its best-known faculties in Pune, having tie-up with different colleges, government research institute, projects that will offer your better exposure and credible opportunities in your internship as well as in your job.  Being an autonomous institute now, you'll get a B.Tech degree instead of a BE degree, and it will get you a better project and help you enhance your resume profile.  Students at VIIT are offered a 6-month internship with a reputed company. On the other hand, in PCCOE, there is a rare opportunity for an internship. Students have only received a maximum of 2-week internship and learned nothing. In terms of placements, VIIT is the best when compared to PCCOE. The table below shows the statistics for VIIT: Academic year Number of companies visited Placement in a year Average salary (LPA) 2017-18 175 216 4.45 2018-19 221 336 5.48 2019-20 150 295 6.18 Hence at VIIT Pune, you'll get open to new projects and internships during your course which will help you in building your skills and knowledge.
