Established in 1965 as Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the college was initially affiliated to Osmania University. Later, it became a constituent college of JNTU Hyderabad and was renamed as JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad.

College of Engineering, Jagitial (CEJ) was established in 2007 as a constituent college of JNTUH, with an intake of 60 in each branch of engineering and a total of 300 students in five different branches viz. CSE, IT, ECE, EEE & ME.

The university offers B.Tech in CSE, IT, ECE, EEE & ME and M.Tech in CSE, IT, ECE-DSCE, EEE-Power Systems, ME-Engineering Design.
Admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) program is based on marks secured by the candidate in TS EAMCET counseling.
TS EAMCET is a state-level entrance exam organized by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on behalf of Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
TS EAMCET application fee for general candidates is INR 500 and INR 250 in case of SC/ST candidates.
Fee payment can be done through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking and UPI only.
Admission to M.Tech program is based on GATE scores or marks scored in TS PGECET, conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad.
TS Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TSCHE.
TS PGECET application fee for general candidates is INR 800 and INR 400 for SC/ST candidates.

The university offers B.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME).

Admission to the program is done on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in TS EAMCET examination. Candidates can apply online only for TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Entrance Test).

Candidates should have passed or appearing for their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as optional subjects.
Candidates must be obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST category) in the subjects specified taken together at 10+2 pattern.
Selection of candidates will be done based on their academic merit, counselling and performance in the personal interview round.

Candidates applying for engineering and pharmacy courses should have completed 16 years as on December 31^st of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

Only TS EAMCET scores are valid for B.Tech admission.

Final admission are purely done on the basis of TS EAMCET merit, counselling and interview.

The university offers M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) - DSCE, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) - Power Systems, and Mechanical Engineering (ME) - Engineering Design.

Admission to M.Tech program is based on GATE score/ marks obtained in TS PGECET, conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), Hyderabad. Candidates can apply online only for TS PGECET (TS Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test).

Candidates appearing their final year examination are also eligible to apply but they are required to submit the proof at the time of admission. Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their academic merit and performance in counselling as well as the personal interview round.

Candidates can apply online through the official examination website for the undergraduate (TSEAMCET) and postgraduate (GATE/ TSPGECET) courses.

For TSEAMCET/ TSPGECET:

A notification will be released by the state government, following which the application forms will be officially released.
Candidate should log on to the official EAMCET/ ICET website for registration
Candidates must first pay the application fee via online banking / debit or credit card payment, following which they will be given a registration number.
The form must then be duly filled-in with all personal and academic details.
All necessary documents as well as a recent photograph should be properly uploaded along with the submitted form.
Candidates must retain a printout of this completed form with them at the time of examination.

For GATE

A notification will be released by the IIT, following which the application forms will be officially released.
The registration link will be available from the GATE website.
Candidates must submit duly filled-in form, along with uploaded photograph and photocopies of marksheets.
Online payment of the application fee, generally between INR 100 and INR 500, can be done through net banking.
