IRMA Anand Scholarship 2023

IRMA provides 80 plus scholarships worth INR 3.17 crore to the students. The following are the scholarship offered at IRMA, Anand:

IRMA Scholarships: IRMA provides 20 merit-based scholarships worth INR. 1.17 crore for the students of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management). Out of the 20 scholarships,10 would be awarded to the general pool and 10 would be awarded exclusively to female candidates. The scholarship amount will be up to 50% of the tuition fee. The scholarship in the first year will be based on the overall selection merit of IRMA’s admissions process, and in the second year will be awarded based on the academic performance i.e., the CGPA of the first year at IRMA.
Mirae Asset Foundation Scholarship: MAF provide 6 scholarships in a year. 3 Scholarship shall be awarded for the 2nd year students and 3 scholarships shall be awarded to the 1st year students. Scholarship amount is INR. 5 lakhs per students per year. The scholarship amount will be evaluated every year and will be decided at the beginning of the year.
SC scholarships: This scholarship covers the entire cost of education of SC candidates are available at IRMA. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India (www.socialjustice.nic.in) has allocated 4 scholarships to IRMA for SC students. The scholarship covers tuition fees, non-refundable charges, lodging and boarding expenses, cost of books, stationery, and a personal computer.
ST scholarships: A scholarship is allocated for ST students by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India (www.tribal.nic.in).
IDFC First Bank MBA Scholarships: Providing financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections of society who are keen on pursuing an MBA degree or its equivalent from one of India's reputed institutions. Selected students are getting scholarship of INR.1,00,000/- (per annum) to pursue their MBA or equivalent studies at selected Indian Business School. Institute of Rural Management Anand is one of the selected Institutes for IDFC First Bank MBA Scholarship.
Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme: The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, as per the AICTE rules, is available at IRMA.
Educational Loans: Educational loans are available from various banks to candidates enrolling at IRMA at favourable rates of interest and student friendly pre-payment scheme.

I have friends from IRMA and the new IIMs. Here are some factors about the institutes that I learned through them. It can be helpful in deciding which institute is better for you. IRMA is more focused on development positions, such as rural and agribusiness marketing. Even the financial firms that visit the campus offer Non-financial roles. So, if you wish to work as a business consultant for real estate firms or as an investment banker, you should probably avoid IRMA and go do general management from any new IIM that will provide you with a bigger responsibility in the future. IRMA is a specialty school. It's fantastic if you enjoy the unique "Rural" part and In front of IRMA, new IIMs don't stand a chance. To summarise, this isn't even worth getting mixed up about. The fact that you're confused indicates that you are not sure about Rural. So, do not attend IRMA if You're still not sure. Join a general PGDM program at IIM Rohtak, for instance. Colleges of general management give you a year to work on a specialization. This option will be better for you if you are not sure about your niche.

For general management, IIM Sambalpur is better. Although it is a new IIM, it offers better visibility and networking opportunities to students. The IIM brand name is well-recognized in the industry. IIM Sambalpur placements have been good over the last few years. During 2022 placement drive, the average and highest CTC offered to the students were INR 41 LPA and INR 12.34 LPA. Deloitte India, SBI Life, E&Y, ZS Associates, etc. are among the major recruiters that took part in the placement drive. Choose IRMA over IIM Sambalpur, only if you are interested in rural management.
