SIT Pune BTech admission 2024 is done through the MHT CET exam. The tentative MHT CET dates 2024 have been announced. The online application form will be released in March 2024. The MHT CET 2024 exam is to be held from April 16 to May 2, 2024.
SIT Pune MTech Admissions are based on the GATE 2024 score. The registration process for GATE is over and the admit card will be released on January 03 onwards. GATE 2024 will occur on 03, 04, and 10, 11 February 2024.

SIT Pune B.Tech Admission 2023

SIT Pune offers a B.Tech program in 7 different disciplines. The eligibility to apply for the B.Tech program is at least 45% marks in 10+2 (PCM/PCB). For admissions to B.Tech program, the applicants must have taken National/ State Level Entrance Test namely JEE Main or must have obtained at least minimum cut-off scores in Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).

Key Points:

There is a relaxation of 5% marks to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
Lateral Entry to B.Tech program is open for candidates with Diploma in Engineering.
Admissions to UG program are based on University level counselling that is to be held at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune for the applicants that have crossed the minimum cut-off set by the Symbiosis International University.

SIT Pune Application Process 2022

Students can only apply online for admissions to UG/PG programs offered at Symbiosis Institute of Technology. They need to follow the subsequent steps to apply:

Candidates need to register online at the official website before the last date of registration.
Fill the details asked in the application form and attach the scanned soft copy of documents that are asked for.
Pay the Application Fees & Exam Registration Fees (SIT EEE).

Candidates who have successfully done the registration will be able to participate in the counselling. Candidates need to be physically present on the counselling date along with all the original documents.

Additionally, caution fee of INR 10,000 is also taken at the time of UG/PG admissions which is refundable.

SIT Pune Reservation Criteria

Symbiosis Institute of Technology follows the reservation criteria as prescribed by the Education Board of Indian Government. Reservation followed for UG course is 15% to Scheduled Caste, 7.5 to Scheduled Tribe and 3% to differently abled students.

Symbiosis International University even reserves the right for admissions against vacant seats. That is in cases when some seats remain vacant in any category, it will be converted to General category. Special reservations are offered for Kashmiri migrants (2 Seats: 1 Seat for SIT EEE & 1 Seat for JEE Main round). International Students under the category of NRI, Foreign or PIO get 15% reservations.

One of my friends studied at Symbiosis, so I might be able to help you with the question.

The campus is lovely, and in terms of life experience.
There's no better college to associate with such a diverse group of people, including international exchange students as well.
But, if you're concerned about your academics, then it’s a bitter truth for you. Most of the colleges in India only provide you with a syllabus and the rest is all self-study. Symbiosis is no exception.
Though, if it's any consolation, the CSE placement scene is pretty decent in Symbiosis. Getting an internship is considerably easy here.

For Computer Science, NMIMS Mumbai is a better option in terms of placements, location, and exposure. The institute follows an industry-relevant and updated curriculum. The CSE labs are well-equipped with the latest technologies. There are many workshops, student bodies, and professional chapters that you can take part in.

NMIMS placements are good for CSE. Around 100% of students from the branch get placed. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 6-7 LPA.
