My friends at MVJ always say that the best jobs and career opportunities are always available to the most deserving candidates. After you complete an MVJ course, you will be given good opportunities, if you are a talented student who deserves a good job.

  • MVJ is a well-known college with a thriving placement cell for students.
  • Every year, the college places its students in reputable MNCs and private organizations.
  • Candidates can also find work in the public sector or start their own business and become entrepreneurs.
  • The college is well-known for its 750 job placements each year.
  • Adobe offered the highest known salary package during campus recruitment to date, which is 27 LPA.
  • Engineering students have the opportunity to receive additional hours of targeted training in order to land the best job.

Without a doubt, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is the best among the given options. My brother studies there and here's what he highlights about the college the most.

  • Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is the oldest among the four colleges mentioned.
  • It is an autonomous college located in Bangalore, Karnataka, so if you're a north Indian, and want to explore a different location, this will be best for you.
  • It has good infrastructural facilities and there's a digital library with a fully enabled wifi campus too.

Here is a brief overview of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering.

According to my friends at MVJ, there are several reviews of the college available on the internet, mostly having negative opinions. Let me discuss as to why it has such negative views by students -

  • The rankings, being in the top 10 or 20 are fake.
  • There is only a 200-meter ground used for all kinds of sports like football, cricket, hockey, volleyball, throw ball, etc.
  • The basketball court inside the campus is used for 4 wheeler car parking.
  • No attendance relief is provided to students who participate in inter-college sports events.
  • The faculty is changed very frequently in every department.
  • Extra classes are made compulsory, even during ongoing fests.
  • There is an extremely strict rule of wearing ID cards inside the campus. Even professors are not allowed to enter the campus without the IDs by security guards.
  • Students participating in organizing college seminars, industrial internships, cultural activities, etc. if they do not attend classes regularly, are put into the NSAR list and not allowed in exams.
  • The placement in the institute is also average. The institute makes no proper arrangement and greetings for recruiters, and so they give the same back in return for their recruitment.
  • The hostels are horrible. Hostellers are not allowed to even wash clothes inside. Food is extremely bad in the mess at the hostel. Even complaining would not matter. Only a few students are able to sustain four years in those hostels.
  • The college bus facility is very costly.
  • The campus is 16 acres wide and needs to be shared with polytechnic, M.Tech, PUC, and MBA students.

It is not recommended to go to MVJ College of Engineering. It clearly has a lot of problems with discipline and management.

If you are comparing mainly between these two colleges, my advice to you would be to choose PESU. But according to my friends studying here, you also need to consider other aspects before making a decision.

  • You need to think about whether you are doing engineering out of pure passion or you are planning to pursue it for the degree.
  • If you are definitely passionate about the field and plan to secure a job in the field of computer science, then you should definitely join PESIT.
  • If you plan to enjoy your B.Tech course and if you are not much interested in getting placed, you can decide to go to MVJ College, as PESIT is known to be very strict.

JP Morgan, Bosch, L&T, Mindtree, etc.

You should also think of considering other aspects like location, distance, fees and the kind of crowd that dominates the college.

  • Knowing a student of PESIT, I can assure you the crowd is pretty decent. People work extremely hard and are focused to reach their goals.
  • Finally, all this comes down to how hard you work to succeed in your career.
  • The campus in the South for PESIT will offer you only 4 courses. If you are looking to join the CSE or ISE branches, you should come to PESIT.
  • If you are able to afford the fee for KCET as well as join PESIT for computer science, you will be able to fit right in.

With a little bit of hard work and determination, you will easily be able to land a tier 2 job and be able to earn all that you have invested within a year. If this does not suit you, go to MVJ college.

You can opt for MVJ College of Engineering since it is known to have a better faculty, a good infrastructure, and 7 branches accredited similarly to MBA. In fact, the placement reports of it are considered better than Cambridge Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

Highlights - MVJ College of Engineering:

  • The opportunities at MVJ College of Engineering are more, as opposed to Cambridge Institute of Technology. It is due to the college having 25+ years of reputed history and placements near ITPL.
  • One of my friends, who studied at MVJ College of Engineering, suggests that it is a good institute in terms of academics, all-around progressive learning, and similar corporate exposure.
  • The institute has additionally induced a curriculum that is planned thoroughly and does not only impart education but also similarly builds good thinking skills.
  • Both the teaching faculty and the ranking of the institute are quite ahead too.
  • The average package at the institute is 8.40 LPA while the highest CTC is 21 LPA.

MVJ College of Engineering offers top placement opportunities from various well-known companies and also regularly participates in several conferences, seminars, research, and development activities. It includes top industry professionals that put relevant theoretical knowledge into action.

In terms of academic and quality of teaching, MVJ College of Engineering is better than Reva University. However, the placement record of the institute is average. According to the recent highlights of MVJCE placement, the median CTC has been around INR 4 LPA. You should choose one of these institutes, based on the branch of your choice.

My cousin has been a student of MVJCE and I would personally suggest you lookout for any other college irrespective of the course you wish to opt for.

  • The reason being, a lot of politics going on within the college campus of MVCJE between the management of the college and all the faculty members.
  • The consequence of this has been affecting students and the lecturers indirectly and causing harm to their careers.
  • These things also have been brought to public notice by media channels, Social media handles, student groups, etc.
  • The present-day scenario of the college is that the students who are in the middle of the courses they are enrolled in are waiting desperately to graduate from this college to get rid of all these problems created by the institution as soon as possible.

This has been the ground reality at MVJCE for quite some time now. It would be advised not to take admission to this college for the betterment of your career. You can check the media reports and social media posts online to form the final decision in regards to this college.

One of my friends from school used to be a student of RNSIT and vouches for the institute. Students enjoy good facilities and the college also has a good ambiance.

RNSIT does not have a good placement record for students of mechanical and civil. Another factor to be considered while choosing a college is the distance between the college and your home, and also how you can manage the time.

According to the recent placement statics, the highest package that RNSIT provides is INR 19 lakhs. The top companies that recruit students from this institute are Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, Byju’s, etc.

MVJ College is the best option among these. It is especially good for engineering courses. It has decent facilities and infrastructure. Reputed companies such as Micro Focus, Infosys, TCS, etc. visit MVJ placements. The campus placement rate is around 80-90%. Students receive an average CTC of around INR 3.6 LPA.
