Course Information

Course Description

KIET Ghaziabad B.Tech admissions are based on UPSEE 2022 followed by UPCET counseling. The institute also accepts JEE Main exam scores for admissions. For candidates applying with UPSEE scores, examination for session is scheduled from July 25 to 30. Admit cards for the same were released on July 13. For candidates applying with JEE Main scores, Phase 2 of the exam have started, the examination will be held from July 24 to 30. Admit cards for the same were released on July 21.

KIET Ghaziabad B.Tech is a four year undergraduate program available in 9 specializations. 85% of seats are to be filled by JEE Main/UPSEE counseling and remaining 15% seats on the basis of management quota. Students who are admitted on the basis of Management Quota are shortlisted on the basis of merit in Class Xll followed by written test and personal interview. The institute offers a total of 1320 seats and charges INR 138499 for the complete program.

KIET Ghaziabad B.Tech Eligibility

For admission to any of the undergraduate programs, the students must appear in the UPSEE exam.

For B. Tech program: the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and one of the following: Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject.

KIET Ghaziabad B.Tech Admission 2023

Selection of the students will be based on the UPSEE test results and counseling process. The students clearing the UPSEE exam will be required to participate in the counselling process.

Within one week of release of the admission list, the candidates must revert back with their acceptance.

How to Apply for B.Tech?

In order to apply for UG courses offered by KIET Group of Institutions, candidates must follow the below steps:

Candidates have to appear in the state-level engineering entrance test conducted by the A. K. Technical University (UPSEE), IET Campus, Lucknow.
Out of the total seats, 85% are allotted through UPSEE counselling.
UPSEE application forms are available online, candidates must fill the application form and submit it.
The UPSEE Entrance Examination fee is INR 1300 for Male/Transgender candidates of General & OBC category and INR 650 for Female/Physically handicapped candidates of all categories /SC/ST candidates.
The rest 15% are allotted under Management Quota. The candidates need to apply through the official institute website. The short-listed candidates, based on their 10+2 PCM merit will be called in for a written test and a personal interview.

JSS Noida is best. It has a prime location, at the heart of NCR, surrounded by IT offices and industries. It’s easier to get coaching, placements, internships, etc. due to the locational advantage. It has a good placement record. As per JSS Noida placements of recent years, students received an average CTC of INR 5 LPA. While the highest CTC received by the students was INR 42 LPA. KIET Ghaziabad and JSS Noida are both private universities, affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University. Although the CSE programs offered at both universities are more or less similar, there are a number of points that can be taken into account while choosing between these two institutes. Ranking:KIET and JSS are high ranking AKTU affiliated universities. However, KIET ranks second in the top AKTU private engineering colleges, while JSS ranks fifth. Location:While JSS Noida is centrally located within the Delhi-NCR region, KIET is located on the outskirts of the same region. Due to this, the connectivity of the former is much better than that of the latter. Placement:The placement rate at KIET for CSE students was around 90% in 2019 placements. The average CTC offered was 4 LPA, whereas the highest CTC offered was 27 LPA. Renowned companies such as Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, TCS, Jaro, Byjus, Adobe, etc. recruited a number of students. For BTech admission, the three institutes accept UPSEE scores. Based on the scores students are called for UPTU counseling. The minimum eligibility criteria for ABES Engineering College, KIET Group of Institutions (KIET), and Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is that a candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 45%. The required closing cut-off for CS Branch In 2019 at the institute was as follows. Although the number of core companies visiting the campus placement is less in number, the salary packages offered are good. The placement session for KIET Ghaziabad has been much better than other colleges of UPTU. The major companies visiting the campus for recruitment were: Samsung, Cummins, HCL, TCS, Snapdeal, Capgemini, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, IBM, Procto, and many more. The mass recruitment happened for the IT branch students although core companies for the other branches visited the campus as well. A total of 305 companies visited the campus for their placements and a total of 1299 offers were made to the students The average package offered to the student stood at INR 4.14 Lakhs per annum whereas the highest package offered was INR 1.29 Lakhs per annum. 124 companies provided 741 job offers with an average package of 3-4 Lakhs per annum. 78 Companies provided 251 job offers with an average package of 4-9 Lakhs per annum. 18 companies offered 28 job offers with an average of 9 lakhs per annum. For the year 2020, the highest package has already reached 19 lakhs per annum being offered by Amazon. Majority of the students from the CS and It branch get placed in the core companies. For the placement of core branches very few companies visit campus but many software companies allow Core branch students to sit for placement.

AKG would be preferred over KIET because of various reasons. One among them is the infrastructural facilities that make AKG stands out from any other college. Some of the facts of IT at AKG and IT at KIET for convenience are mentioned below: Placements Faculty Labs Interaction With Alumni and Seniors The Alumni and seniors at AKG are quite helpful and guide each other on placement information and how to prepare the syllabus. AKG has a better location and connectivity to Delhi and Noida. You can reach the campus from NH24 through an auto easily. Accenture, Amazon, Birch Street, and the Indian Army are some of the major recruiters at AKG. Placements are based on the overall performance we make. Students from the IT department were placed at an average package of 4.2 LPA. Many students barely got to sit for placements because of low attendance, students with 74.4% attendance were not allowed. AKG is quite strict with this. If we look at the current faculty in both the colleges. KIET 's IT department has more than 37 faculty members with papers published on topics like Enhancement of Cloud Security. AKG on the other hand has more than 27 faculty members with PhDs. AKG has labs at par with NITs and IITs, no other college in UP has labs like these. To name a few, they are Software Incubator, BIG DATA, Bosch Rexroth, Kuka Robotica, NI Labview, Advanced Welding Center, and Siemens PLM. KIET also has four labs with 120 computers.
