KIET Ghaziabad and JSS Noida are both private universities, affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University. Although the CSE programs offered at both universities are more or less similar, there are a number of points that can be taken into account while choosing between these two institutes.

Ranking:KIET and JSS are high ranking AKTU affiliated universities. However, KIET ranks second in the top AKTU private engineering colleges, while JSS ranks fifth.

Location:While JSS Noida is centrally located within the Delhi-NCR region, KIET is located on the outskirts of the same region. Due to this, the connectivity of the former is much better than that of the latter.

Placement:The placement rate at KIET for CSE students was around 90% in 2019 placements. The average CTC offered was 4 LPA, whereas the highest CTC offered was 27 LPA. Renowned companies such as Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, TCS, Jaro, Byjus, Adobe, etc. recruited a number of students.

On the other hand, the placement rate at JSS was around 80-90% for the CSE students in 2019. Here too, the average CTC was between 4-5 LPA. The highest CTC was around 19 LPA. Amazon, IBM, TCS, etc. visited the campus for recruitment.

Based on the aforementioned aspects, you should decide whether KIET or JSS will be better for you.

KIET Group of Institutions (KIET), ABES Engineering College, and Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College all of these are one of the best institutes available in Ghaziabad.

Admissions:

All three of these Colleges provide a B.Tech degree in their respective departments. If we talk about admission, all of these universities follow almost the same pattern.

• For BTech admission, the three institutes accept UPSEE scores. Based on the scores students are called for UPTU counseling.

• The minimum eligibility criteria for ABES Engineering College, KIET Group of Institutions (KIET), and Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is that a candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 45%.

The required closing cut-off for CS Branch In 2019 at the institute was as follows.

It is quite obvious that with a rank of 19,380 in UPSEE, you can't get admission to the CS branch of any of these Colleges, provided you belong to the general category. However, there are some management seats available in all of these colleges, you can contact the officials for the same and if luck is by your side you might get admission in any of these too.

The placement session for KIET Ghaziabad has been much better than other colleges of UPTU.

The mass recruitment happened for the IT branch students although core companies for the other branches visited the campus as well. A total of 305 companies visited the campus for their placements and a total of 1299 offers were made to the students

The average package offered to the student stood at INR 4.14 Lakhs per annum whereas the highest package offered was INR 1.29 Lakhs per annum.

• 124 companies provided 741 job offers with an average package of 3-4 Lakhs per annum.
• 78 Companies provided 251 job offers with an average package of 4-9 Lakhs per annum.
• 18 companies offered 28 job offers with an average of 9 lakhs per annum.

For the year 2020, the highest package has already reached 19 lakhs per annum being offered by Amazon.

Majority of the students from the CS and It branch get placed in the core companies. For the placement of core branches very few companies visit campus but many software companies allow Core branch students to sit for placement.

AKG has a better location and connectivity to Delhi and Noida. You can reach the campus from NH24 through an auto easily.

• Accenture, Amazon, Birch Street, and the Indian Army are some of the major recruiters at AKG. Placements are based on the overall performance we make. Students from the IT department were placed at an average package of 4.2 LPA.
• Many students barely got to sit for placements because of low attendance, students with 74.4% attendance were not allowed. AKG is quite strict with this.
• If we look at the current faculty in both the colleges. KIET 's IT department has more than 37 faculty members with papers published on topics like Enhancement of Cloud Security. 
• AKG on the other hand has more than 27 faculty members with PhDs.
• AKG has labs at par with NITs and IITs, no other college in UP has labs like these. To name a few, they are Software Incubator, BIG DATA, Bosch Rexroth, Kuka Robotica, NI Labview, Advanced Welding Center, and Siemens PLM.
