Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology B.Tech Admission 2023

GTBIT offers regular Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech) in Electronics & Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics. Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for admission to B.Tech course.

Applicants have to appear in the CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by the University. The admissions would be based on the merit/rank in the CET. For lateral entry, candidate must have passed 3-year diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from any recognised board.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology Admission Process 2023

Admissions in GTBIT are made strictly on the basis of merit in IPU-CET. Only those candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria fixed by the University are admitted. Candidates have to undergo the following admission process to get admitted to the college:

Visit the official website of IPU.
Candidates have to register by creating a log-in ID and password for filling the Application forms for CET.
After filling the application form, pay the prescribed fee through online payment gateway.
After the application is submitted, if there is any mistake then the applicant must submit an application in physical form (together with applicable processing fees of INR 500) to:

Reception, Examination Division,

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Admit Card will be available online, 7 days before the date of the CET.
Admit Card can be downloaded by the candidates individual account using log-in ID and password.
University prepares list of qualified candidates in order of merit in each category based on the marks obtained in the CET.
Candidates are called for counselling/admission depending upon the number of seats available in each program.

Yeh so basically the admission process is pretty simple I have given JEE mains entrance exam and also I have applied separately For IPU counselling which is based on my JEE MAINS Rank which helped me alot to get to this college after this I chose this college in my IPU counselling and based on my JEE rank I get GTBIT college at that time Applied corona time period going on I get this college at very low rank which about 8 lakh

How is GTBIT (IPU) New Delhi and UIET Chandigarh for B.Tech/B.E. in CSE in terms of all aspects for a good college?

I might not have appropriate information on GTBIT (IPU) but one of my cousins studied at UIET Chandigarh. So, I will be able to give you some information about UIET.

He also was a CSE graduate, and according to him, CSE is quite good there. Though he is a bit unsure about the placements nowadays due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Other than that, in terms of infrastructure, faculty, academics, and reputation UIET is really up to the mark. They also encourage students to participate in seminars, industry visits, and internships. It will give you enough exposure and an understanding of the corporate world.

Which is better: IT from MSIT (Maharaja Surajmal) or a CSE from GTBIT/SNU?

IT from MSIT (Maharaja Surajmal) is better. It has a better industry presence, especially in NCR. Many reputed companies take part in MSIT placements. Google, MU Sigma, ZS Associates, Jaro Education, Wingify, Infosys, etc. are among the major recruiters. Students receive an average package of around INR 4-5 LPA. The highest CTC goes up to INR 55 LPA.
