Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research was established in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu in the year 2008. The college is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu, Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

MAPIMS offers MBBS program of 4 and a half years duration, BDS, BPT, BSc in Nursing, B.Pharm courses of 4-years duration, and MSc in Nursing, M.Pharm, and MPT program of 2-years duration.

• Candidates who are seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses have to apply online for NEET UG.
• For other UG and PG programs, applicants have to visit the website of the affiliating university and apply online for admission separately for each course.
• The payment of the application fee must be done offline through the Demand Draft.
• Students who have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized Board are considered eligible to get admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc in Nursing, BPT, and B.Pharm courses.
• Those who hold B.Pharm Degree are considered eligible for admission to the M.Pharm course, BSc in Nursing are eligible to get admission to MSc in Nursing program, and students who have BPT Degree are eligible to join MPT program.
• Admission to MBBS and BDS courses is given through NEET-UG conducted by CBSE.
• Selection of other UG and PG programs viz. BPT, B.Pharm, BSc in Nursing, MPT, MSc in Nursing, M.Pharm courses is on the basis of merit.
