Grant Medical College in Mumbai is one of the finest institutions for the medical field.
Grant Medical College proves that studying MBBS is not just about books and getting marks but learning each and every skill as well.
According to the reviews online by the students of these colleges, here’s what the ranking seems to be like:
Therefore it is suggested you either go for KGMU or MAMC, as they will provide you with the required exposure and opportunities.
One of my friends studied at Grant Medical College Mumbai. According to him, the events that take place here are much better than any other medical college.
Your college life will be exciting at Grant Medical College. You will get to learn and grow both academically and holistically. It is advised that you make the most of it.
This majorly depends on the student’s choice and what they will prefer. Seth GS and Grant Medical College (GMC) are both good institutions. Here’s mentioning some facts analyzing which you can make your decision.
As mentioned by most of the students that GMC has better academics, facilities and co-curricular activities, it is suggested that you go for GMC rather than Seth GS.
This choice majorly depends on the student and his preferences.
Seth GS:
GMC:
Most people will claim that KEM is better for your career. But at the end of the day you also need some extracurricular activities to engage in and avoid the monotony.
According to the reviews online, if academics are concerned LTMC is the best among all the others mentioned.
Most of the students feel that the internships here are better in terms of clinical practice. It gives you enough knowledge and hands-on experience.
Yes. Ragging was prevalent in Grant Medical College (GMC) during 2006. This declined gradually after some years in the premises of the hostels.
This used to happen mostly in the boys' hostels and the raging involved from staying up all night, missing lectures, completing the assignments of the seniors, etc.
Mainly students in the hostels were prone to ragging. Nowadays due to stricter rules and regulations, this has decreased. Once 3-4 students were suspended when found responsible.
It is suggested that you talk to your HoD, your warden and your parents, as they will be able to guide you to take the right step after that.
Ragging is a problem which should be brought under control by strict laws and regulations. Severe punishment should also be applied to reduce such occurrences taking place in the college premises.
If you live outside of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, you will certainly be assigned a hostel room from the start. If you live in MMR, you may have to wait up to a year, depending on your address. In the first year, rooms are assigned on a twin or triple-sharing basis. After the first year, you can choose between a single room and a double sharing room.
GMC Mumbai hostels are beautiful, with blushing greenery all around that will take your breath away and then resuscitate you. There are two hostels for MBBS undergrads.
The hostel administration provides iron beds, tables, and chairs. In addition, there is a medium-sized ground directly in front of the main entrance. The staff cleans the two large common washrooms on each floor two to three times a week.
Both IMS BHU and Grant Medical College (GMC) are among the best medical colleges of India. As one of my friends studied in IMS BHU, I am familiar with the institute.
GMC is overrated. It has average infrastructure. The most important thing that diminished its popularity is the internal politics and compulsory bond by Maharashtra government. Though they have a good location, IMS BHU tops its academics and the opportunities provided to their students.
