For a B.Com (hons), which college is best, St. Xavier’s, Ranchi or Marwari College?

St. Xavier’s College is an autonomous university. Classes and examinations are held regularly at the university. There is also a mandatory 75% attendance rule that you need to follow. If you want to take admission in B.Com (Hons), you need to have Mathematics in your 10+2. However, since it is a private college, the course fee is higher.

Marwari College is a Govt. college. The classes are held regularly. They also have a 75% attendance rule, but it can be adjusted. Sometimes examinations get delayed.

You can choose either of these two institutes according to your convenience.

Which is better- St. Xavier Ranchi or BHU DAV College?

DAV BHU isn’t a part of BHU and the quality of education offered isn’t the same as BHU, at the graduation level. However, it depends on the course you are choosing. Compared to St. Xavier Ranchi DAV BHU offers better academics. Even if you are from DAV, you can still use resources from BHU, like its library, computer center, and other additional facilities.

There is no such cutoff for any course at St. Xavier Ranchi. Admission is done based on the performance of the students in the entrance test. You can get the syllabus of the entrance test from the official website. Although the college has eligibility criteria. You will need to secure at least 50% in your 12th to apply.

Yes, you can get admission at St. Xavier College, Ranchi. As they select students based on their performance in the entrance test and not on their pass-out year. However, you should check the eligibility criteria regarding age limit and marks. You will only be selected for admission if you fulfill the eligibility criteria.

It depends on the Principal of the institute. After you clear the examination, there will be no such separate entrance test. Even if you clear the compartment examination, you will have to talk to the principal about your admission. Only he can do something about your admission. Hope this clears your doubts.

Amity is a private university whereas Xavier is semi govt and it is always far better than Amity. BBA faculty at Xavier is awesome and you will get more opportunities like internships, good placement.
