St. Xavier's College, Ranchi was started by the Ranchi Jesuit Society, on July 3, 1944. The college offers a number of Undergraduate, Postgraduate as well as Vocational courses. The major courses offered by the college includes BBA, B.Sc, B.Ed, B.Com, BA, and MCA. The admission criteria is different for each program. The college also reserves seats for students belonging to various categories. The reservation of seats for different categories at St. Xavier’s Ranchi are: General - 50%, OBC - 27%, SC - 15%, and ST - 8%.

  • Admission to most of the UG courses are based on the merit of the candidates and they don’t need to appear for any entrance test.
  • However, for all the PG courses except M.Com, the college conducts separate entrance tests in order to evaluate the candidates.
  • For the vocational courses, the candidates need to sit for the entrance test and go through the interview round in order to get selected for the course.

St. Xavier's Ranchi BA, B.Sc and B.Com Admissions 2023

St. Xavier’s Ranchi offers B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com programmes as undergraduate courses. Both the B.A. and B.Sc. courses are offered with seven different honours subject.

All the UG courses are offered for a duration of three years. The application procedure for all these UG courses, i.e. the availability of application for the UG courses start by the end of May. Apply for UG Courses

The students who have completed their 10+2 examination from their respective boards are eligible to apply and the admission to these courses are based on the merit of the candidates. No entrance test is conducted by the college for admission to these courses

St. Xavier’s Ranchi offers Master’s degree in Arts with six different subjects namely English, Hindi, Economics, Political Science, Geography and History along with Master’s degree in Commerce and Journalism and Mass Communication.

All these courses are for a duration of two years and candidates applying for these courses must have attained Bachelor’s degree in the concerned field. Apply for PG Courses

St. Xavier's Ranchi MCA Admission 2023

St. Xavier’s Ranchi also offers Master in Computer Application (M.C.A.) degree for the graduates in Computer Applications. The MCA course is offered for a duration of two years.

The application procedure for the M.C.A.course start in the month of June and the eligible candidates need to sit for an entrance test conducted by Department of Computer Science in the college.

St. Xavier’s Ranchi also invites application for the 2 year B.Ed course from the graduates. Total number of seats available for the course is 100.

Application process for these courses start by the month of May and candidates who are applying for the B.Ed course have to sit for an entrance test conducted by the college itself.

St. Xavier's Ranchi Vocational Courses Admissions 2023

Other than the UG and PG courses, St. Xavier’s college also offers eight different vocational courses which is designed to prepare the students for the job market. These courses are for a duration of three years.

The application for the Vocational courses start by the month of May and student who have completed their 10+2 examination with atleast 50% marks is eligible to apply.

The eligible candidates need to appear for the entrance test and the candidates who are shortlisted after the entrance test are invited by the college for the Interview round.

Remarks:

First all we fill the entrance exam form for addmitions through college portal than they select application . After the selection of applications they will relies the list of those of those students who will pass the entrance exam than they take interview and than you will fill the admission form for college 80% cut off.

Remarks:

The eligibility criteria are that you must have scored 50% in aggregate having maths as a subject with at least 45% marks in your intermediate exam. The details of the application form, fees and dates are published on the official site of the college itself i.e. sxcran.org. There is no such reservation benefit here. The process is unbiased.

The eligibility of the course was to get 50% of class 12 On the internet you can find the application form, the application fees was 800 ST/SC get reservation benefits on these two colleges. For ST/SC 45% aggregate marks asking for applied on these colleges

you have to fill out the application form with the course you want to pursue. you will get a notification about the entrance exam date and venue which will be St.college Ranchi you have to clear or qualify for the entrance exam and you will later check the result on the admission date you should be present in the college for admission. There is a reservation for St sc candidates. They don't have to pay the application form fee.

St Xavier's College is an Autonomous College and one of the best colleges in Jharkhand. First of all, you need to fill up the form for admission which will cost you around 700. Make sure you fulfil all the eligibility conditions like age and marks in 12th board. After the end of form filling date, you will get a schedule for entrance test. St Xavier's College take admission on basis of marks scored in entrance test. A cutoff list of selected candidates is uploaded on the website n the corresponding admission r taken. Sometimes 2nd or 3rd cutoff list is also released in case of vacant seats but it will be better if you get your name in the 1st list itself. If your name is on the cutoff list then you need to come to college for the rest of the admission process.

St. Xavier’s College is an autonomous university. Classes and examinations are held regularly at the university. There is also a mandatory 75% attendance rule that you need to follow. If you want to take admission in B.Com (Hons), you need to have Mathematics in your 10+2. However, since it is a private college, the course fee is higher. Marwari College is a Govt. college. The classes are held regularly. They also have a 75% attendance rule, but it can be adjusted. Sometimes examinations get delayed.  You can choose either of these two institutes according to your convenience.

DAV BHU isn’t a part of BHU and the quality of education offered isn’t the same as BHU, at the graduation level. However, it depends on the course you are choosing. Compared to St. Xavier Ranchi DAV BHU offers better academics. Even if you are from DAV, you can still use resources from BHU, like its library, computer center, and other additional facilities.

There is no such cutoff for any course at St. Xavier Ranchi. Admission is done based on the performance of the students in the entrance test. You can get the syllabus of the entrance test from the official website. Although the college has eligibility criteria. You will need to secure at least 50% in your 12th to apply.

Don’t worry, you have the option to change your mistake. You can write a letter to the administration, with the supporting documents and send it. This can be done within a day. After that, you can reprint your admit card. This is the way you can change the mistake you have made in your application and make sure it doesn’t get rejected.

Amity is a private university whereas Xavier is semi govt and it is always far better than Amity.
