Nizam College is an autonomous institute located in Basheerbagh in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh was established in 1887. It was initially affiliated to the University of Madras and later became a constituent college of Osmania University. In 2012, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) certified it as 'A' grade institution
Nizam College offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce and Sciences in addition to professional courses such as MBA, MCA, M.Sc.(IS) and BCA.
The intake for UG Arts, Science, Management, and Computer Applications is 30 students per subject. Commerce has an intake of 45 students per course. Selection for UG courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination and for PG courses various entrance exams like OUCET, TS ICET are considered.
All candidates pursuing degree courses in Nizam College are eligible to enroll in the Certificate and Diploma courses introduced under UGC (COP) add-on scheme by the college.
