I applied for two more colleges in my hometown but they were not good as my maitreyi college. Basically we can say the main reasons for choosing this college are Academic programs, Research opportunities, campus life, Ranking etc. Overall everything was wonderful when comparing to the other two colleges I applied. I didn't applied any other college where I got rejection. As I already mentioned about the colleges I applied I got selected in both but didn't want to continue in them so choose maitreyi college. So basically admission process was so easy and mine was based on cut off. I secured good marks in my Senior Secondary class so i got admission easily. And after that we have to submit our documents online on official mail of college. After 10 days official process are completed and orientation and classes started. Now everything is change you have to clear CUET entrance exam and then you have to go for counselling and you got selected and all these. But I can surely say mine was so easy.

Read Full ReviewMaitreyi College Delhi has a beautiful campus with vast open spaces. It is not that difficult from any other colleges. The faculty base is decent. Some of the faculty members are friendly some aren’t, it depends on your subject. The fests and societies are quite good at the college. My friends from the college especially talk about dance and fashion society. The canteen is average at best. Life at Maitreyi College is not that different than the other colleges.
Among the given institutes, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is better for an Economics Hons. It has a better student crowd than Maitreyi. You will be among competitive peers. The placement opportunities offered are also better. The average package offered at the institute is 8 LPA. While the highest was 10-12 LPA, last year.
DCAC also offers various extracurricular activities.
Maitreyi College isn’t an off-campus college in DU. It is located on the south campus right opposite Jesus and Mery College. It is also situated near Sri Venkateshwara College and Satya Niketan which is the hangout spot for the students of the south campus. The college campus is beautiful and it also has a decent infrastructure.
Kalindi College is considered good for Commerce and Arts whereas Maitreyi College is considered better for Science and Arts. So you can decide according to your field.
Categories | Kalindi College | Maitreyi College |
Course Fee | INR 30,000 | INR 27,000 |
Average CTC | 3-4 LPA | 1.8-2.8 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | HCL, Tech Mahindra, etc. | Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, etc. |
Every college has its advantages and disadvantages. It is recommended that you give preference to the course rather than the college. Because, in the end your interest and dedication towards the subject will give you a good career rather than the name and reputation of the college.
It depends on which course you are choosing. Kalindi College is more known for its Commerce and Arts courses whereas Maitreyi College is more reputed for Science and Arts courses. So, you should choose your institute based on your field. Do your own research on the colleges and choose according to your convenience.
Both College of Vocational Studies and Maitreyi College are reputed colleges under DU. CVS is more known for its vocational studies, whereas Maitreyi is more known for its arts and commerce studies. The faculties at both colleges are quite good. If you are opting for Arts subjects, go to Maitreyi college. Before choosing any of these two institutes, you should talk to the current students and get to know their experience.
No, Maitreyi College doesn’t have a hostel on campus. Most colleges under DU don’t have hostels. However, you can easily get a pg near the college. Most girls who attend Maitreyi College stay at Satya Niketan. You can easily find a PG there and the college is within walking distance.
ARSD and Maitreyi, both are reputed colleges under Delhi University. You can choose either of these two institutes for pursuing a degree in Physics. Both have a decent faculty base and lab infrastructure.
However, comparably ARSD is better than Maitreyi for pursuing a degree in Science. According to IndiaToday 2021 ranking, ARSD was ranked 16 for Science.
Among the colleges mentioned above, Maitreyi College is the best option for pursuing a B.Com degree. However, it is a girl's college. The infrastructure of the college is quite good. The campus offers a decent learning environment. The area surrounding Maitrayi is neat and clean with many embassies.
JMC and Maitreyi, are reputed neighboring colleges with their own advantages. It will be better for you depends on the course you are applying for. For Arts courses, JMC is better. Whereas, for Science courses, Maitreyi is the better choice. I have friends from both colleges and here are their insights about the colleges.
Maitreyi:
JMC:
Both Maitreyi and JMC are well-reputed and have decent facilities. So, choose an institute according to your subject preference.
