Ans. Due to the temporary exemptions in place under the July 15 ICE FAQ, as long as you are enrolled full-time, continuing URI students can take classes in various modes: in-person, hybrid, or fully online and still be able to remain in the United States.
Ques. I am a continuing URI international student. What if I can’t return for the Spring 2023 semester?
Ans. If you are unable to be physically present for in-person classes, you can attend online classes.
Ques. I am a new URI international student. Can I take courses online from outside the US if I cannot arrive in time for the start of the Spring 2023 semester?
Ans. You may take classes online while you remain outside of the United States.
Ques. I am a new URI international student who will begin their program in Spring 2023. Will I be able to continue my course as planned?
Ans. Yes, if you are taking at least one in person/hybrid class, you may still be able to study in the United States.
