Master of Science in Computer Engineering at the University of Rhode Island is a 2-2.5 years program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
The program has two tracks: thesis and non-thesis.
The Thesis Track is designed to prepare students for a computer science research career in either industry or academia, including excellent preparation for further Ph.D. studies.
The Non-Thesis Track is designed to provide comprehensive coursework in advanced computer science.
The Computer Science program has one of the most flexible series of course requirements of graduate programs in the region, specifically designed to allow a student and their advisor to determine the best program of study for the student’s interests.

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better in the undergraduate career can be confirmed with official transcripts from the institution.
Students from other engineering fields or from mathematics, biology, chemistry, or physics may be accepted into the program with the possible addition of prerequisite courses.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Students need to have a minimum of first-class or upper Second with a minimum of 60% on an institutional basis.
