Salve Regina University is a catholic coeducational university founded by the Sisters of Mercy. The university offers 46 undergraduate majors and 14 master’s degree programs for students to study in the USA.

Salve Regina University Programs, Campus, and Residence

Programs

Salve Regina University offers 46 undergraduate majors and 14 master’s degree programs. Some of these are Psychology, Philosophy, Mathematics, American Studies, Art History, Ceramics, Chemistry, etc. Some of these are the Administration of Justice and Homeland Security, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Business Administration, Creative Writing, etc. The university also offers 12 combined bachelors's/ master’s programs.

Apart from UG and PG academic programs, the University also offers Certificate and Doctoral Courses in selected disciplines. 

All the academic programs are structured on a semester pattern. Salve offers excellent professional and liberal arts programs, the most popular programs are: business, education, administration of justice and biology.

Campus

Located on the oceanside, Salve Regina University is spread over 80-acre of campus and is set to be one of the most unique campuses of the country. The campus is on seven neighboring grounds and features 20 historic buildings that have been renovated while still preserving their status as treasures of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Residence

Salve University provides a variety of housing options for Freshmen, sophomores and junior/ senior students. It provides nearly 20+ dorms throughout the historic campus, ranging from traditional residence halls to architecturally designed significant buildings.

These residences provide easy access to downtown Newport, via public conveyance or on-foot.

First-year students have limited but quality choices to choose from Hunt Hall, Miley Hall, Reefe Hall, and Walgreen Hall.

  1. Miley Hall

It offers traditional, corridor-style double rooms. Available for co-ed by floor, it provides housing choices for males on the first floor and females on the second and third floors.

  1. Hunt Hall

It is built on modern lines. Apart from first-year students, it is also available for sophomores. Hunt is co-ed, with male and female suites scattered throughout each floor.

  1. Reef Hall

Built on modern lines it houses first-year students. It is inconvenient to access to the academic buildings of Salve Regina University. In terms of features and facilities, it is almost similar to Hunt Hall. It is also co-ed.

  1. Walgreen Hall 

Nestled close to Miley Hall, Walgreen provides suite-style housing facilities for first-year students. It is co-ed with male and female suites scattered throughout each floor.

Providing housing options for just 9 residents, Carnlough provides a cozy, family-like atmosphere. This residence holds the honor of being Salve's Language House living-learning community to its credit.

This residence provides fully renovated housing options for 14 students in modern double rooms. It also facilitates understanding of differences and celebrations of diversity with the Multicultural House living-learning community.

  1. Founders Hall

This residence is the largest all-female hall on campus. It features classic period architecture with quirky and charming interiors.

Sprawling near the Miley Hall Campus, this co-ed residence comprises of three individual apartments, each with its common room and kitchen. It provides apartment-style housing options.

It is a 1950s ranch home and an all-female residence that provides accommodation for 8 students. 

  1. 80 Victoria Ave.

It is a 1950s ranch home and an all-female residence that provides accommodation for 5 students.
